Weekly Update

Just a Heads Up:
Prepare for total picture overload!! It was a busyyy week...

Tenley had her monthly wellness check on Monday.
She was fascinated by the color on the walls and was a good girl while she got a shot.

Her appointment went good and she now weighs 12 pounds 10.4 ounces and is 23 inches long. She is in the 97th percentile for weight and height. Her weight sounds scary to me, but the pediatrician said her weight is normal for her height and for being breast fed. I get kind of sad when I think of her weight because I feel like she bypassed the newborn stage and that I have always had a 4 month old, but I sure do love her chunkiness and I'll appreciate her height when she's the next Gisele Bundchen and married to the Tom Brady of 2030. She is now able to get nightly baths so we started giving her a bath at 7 pm every night. She has started to love bath time; which is great because that means she won't be the smelly kid in school. (Score!)

She also sports what we call "jammy jams" on a nightly basis.

She also starting smiling even more in her sleep:
(wait for the BIG smile at the end!)

She is starting to get such a cute lil' personality and is such a D.I.V.A.. She loves getting her picture taken (again... the next Gisele) so I take lots of pictures throughout the day so Ed doesn't miss a thing.
(This is why I've been begging Ed for a professional camera... PLEASSSSE Ed!!)

(Daddy Thinks I'm Purrrfect)

Tenley is getting so good at lifting her head and even trying to roll on her side. I truly believe it's because I do tummy time with her everyday. She loves laying there and listening to her monkey that plays music. The one day we did tummy time so long that she passed out:

I've been pumping more so that Ed can feed Tenley more often. Feeding your baby is such an amazing bonding experience so I absolutely love to watch Ed get that "feeling" too. Every time he feeds her she always seems to pass out so that's an extra bonus!

Passed out after her feeding with Daddy... she lovessss the changing table!

The week days by myself are pretty exhausting to say the least. My weeks are killer without having family around to help... I can't just call my mom to come over when I've had a rough day and no one can help during the day when all I want to do is shower or even if I just want an hour to myself. Days when all she wants is to be held is when I wish I had a clone so Kelli #2 could give my weak arms a break. I don't get a break from 5:30 am to 4 pm so I have grown to appreciate Eddie SO much more. It is sooooo unbelievably nice to have a husband that comes home from work and wants to change her diaper, help with her bath, put her to sleep, etc. Seeing Eddie care for Tenley truly warms my heart and makes him 3958745845233x's more attractive. I just love my hott handsome hub.

Speaking of rough days... Friday was a doozy! Tenley woke up Friday morning on a mission - to pee and poop on me alllll day. She had four wardrobe changes...

Wardrobe Change #1:

Wardrobe Change #2:

Wardrobe Change #3:

Wardrobe Change #4:

It was a rough day, but at least we had a good night with the Espejos and Court gave our arms a break for awhile. Even Grace tried to help out with Tenley:

I look forward to the weekends all week so I was excited when I woke up to this on Saturday:
(I love this pic because I can totally see the resemblance here!)

And since I had time to do some laundry, we gave one of the outfits that Tenley blew out the day before another shot. T sported her My Heart Belongs To Daddy outfit and played around the house.

Then we went to the Espejos for fight night.

T was so tired from Saturday night that she let me have a litle fun with her...

I told you she loves getting her picture taken!

We decided to take Tenley to Town Square to get her picture taken with Santa. She had the cutest gingerbread girl outfit (red tutu and all) so I was super exited!

Turns out she LOVES Santa and her loves her, too. (I mean, how could you not love her?!) He held her for a good 10 minutes and cuddled her. She was completely calm in his big arms and when Ed took her from him she cried! Baby girl realllly loved him. Looks like she'll be getting lots of presents from Santy this year!

Needless to say, this week really wore our sweet lil' gingerbread girl out!

Until next week...

1 Month Old

Happy 1 Month Birthday, Tenley!

I can't believe my squishy cheeked daughter is 1 month old already...

Baby love is growing way too fast for my liking. I savor every moment with her and kiss her cheeks like there is no tomorrow. I love her and don't know what Ed and I ever did without her in our lives. I love that my day consists of feedings, spit up, baby hiccups, poopy diapers and several wardrobe changes!

Tenley is now over 12 pounds of pure chunky lovin'. She is smiling more and more everyday and loves the sound of her voice. She's holding up her head, moving her head back and forth and trying to roll on her side. She has loads of nicknames, such as: Tenley Bear, Teddy, T, Chunky Monk, Pumpkin Pie, etc. Watching her grow is truly the highlight of my life and I can't get enough of her. Although it is sad to see her grow so quickly, I am excited to see what our future holds with her.

A Thanksgiving Full of Thanks

Everyone that knows me knows my favorite holiday - Thanksgiving.

I was especially looking forward to Thanksgiving this year because this would be our first year celebrating Thanksgiving as a family.

I am extremely blessed and thankful for my healthy, beautiful, sweet, squishy cheeked daughter who has truly enriched my life and given me meaning. She means the world to me and I don't know what I would do without her chubby, kissable cheeks and dimply butt. When she looks at me with her big blue eyes I know I have succeeded in life. She's perfect and all mine... forever.
I love my lil' turkey.

I have also been blessed with thee greatest hubman and father to my sweet baby girl. Not only does he love her, but he loves to take care of her. He loves bath time, rocking her, doing tummy time and even changing her extremely stinky poopy diapers. He's amazing with her and still makes me feel special, too. He constantly compliments me and makes me feel beautiful, even with sweats on and spit up in my hair.
I just love him to pieces.

I was also looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner at Terri's this year. Don't get me wrong, I can cuddle and love on my chunky monk all day, but I was especially looking forward to a day with people around who wanted to hold Tenley and give our tired arms a break. Not only did my arms get a break; but my stomach got overloaded with pure deliciousnesssss. God, I love turkey dinner!

Tenley really had an amazing time with Tammy or as I call her the "Tenley Whisperer".
Tenley absolutely loved her and really loved her masseuse skills.

She made this hilarious face when Tammy would hit her spot:

Last but not least, I am thankful for my family and friends and white wine.

Although our family in Ohio is thousands of miles away, I am thankful for the close relationships we have maintained throughout the years. As they say, "distance makes the heart grow fonder." My family is awesome sauce and I don't know who I'd be without them. I am also grateful that I am surrounded by friends in Vegas that treat me as family. I have the best friends a girl could ask for.

This Thanksgiving was truly a Thanksgiving full of thanks.
I have nothing to complain about and everything to be thankful for.
