Weekly Update

Teddy has really grown fond of her Piglet security blanket and he cuddles with her a lot:

She's also been keeping her burp cloths close by cause she's a drooling machine!

She's even been rockin' a lot of polk-a-dots:
('New Girl' reference...)

She's been loungin' in her jammy jams all week since she still has a cold:

She watched 'Gnomeo & Juliet' with Pearl 98458765 times; they seriously can't get enough!

She blew out her diaper quite a few times this week...
This is Teddy's I'm blowin' out my diaper on Mommy face:
(HAHAHA!! Love her...)

She's been grabbing her toys and examining them even more this week:

And smilin' up a storm!

She's also been chomping on everything! Just look at this kid...

Her Foot:

Daddy's Finger:

Her Teething Toy:

The Remote:

She seriously chomps on everything, but we still can't feel any teeth just yet! Which is fine by me because I'm not ready for my baby to have teeth yet.

Teddy also loves to play with her links and grabs them from each side of her play gym:

Grandma and Grandpa D came into town this weekend (more on that later) so Tenley was all smiles:

And she was excited for the Super Bowl (even though it wasn't the Steelers):

Until next week! :)

Weekly Update

This week my family was in town.

Since my lil' chunker was sick we kept her entertained inside...

She modeled clothes for people back home:
(Thanks for the hat, Great Aunt Jul!)

(Hope you like the pic, Great Grammy!)

Ate the new Piglet security blanket I bought her:

Played with Pearl and told each other secrets:

Started rolling on her side like a champ:

Played in her crib:

Hung out in her swing:

Seeing her sick is thee worst and suctioning her boogers out is even worse! Poor baby just screams when she sees the suction and lets out HUGE tears. Also, since she's been sick she has found a new place in our bed at night and hasn't found her way back to her pack-n-play that's 5 feet away from our bed. Why is it so different for her to sleep in our bed or 5 feet away? Becauseeee when she's 5 feet away we don't get her sweet embraces throughout the night. Aghh I have a feeling we've started something bad...

Despite being sick and getting angry when we suction her boogs, baby girl has remained her giggly self:

(The sound is weird in the beginning because I covered the speaker, but the end is cute!)

The little stink bomb also got me sick so I'm drinking tons of Emergen-C so we can both get better quickly. We haven't had a mommy-date play-date with our BFF's so Tenley and I are going stir-crazy without them!

I even got this belated birthday present from the hubs, but haven't even been able to use it:

I'm dying to go for a run with Tenley so I'm doing my best to get my lil' chicky and myself back to normal and am looking forward to the day when were both 100%. Being sick and taking care of a sick baby is exhausting!

Until next time! :)

Mini-Kelli

My mom, Mike and his girlfriend, Ashley, came to visit this week and since I have a hard time seeing myself in Tenley my mom brought some of my baby pics with her so we could compare...

Family photo with my brothers:
(Ray, Jimmy, Mike, Me)

My first birthday:

A little older with blonde hair and blue eyes:

I can now say I understand the "mini-Kelli" comparisons. She has my nose, lips, chin and head shape. She definitely has her Daddy's eyes, but she could totally pass as all mine! ;)

Tenley loved having her family in town and enjoyed having her Grandma play with her and read her books.

(Thanks for the Book, Great Aunt Jul!)

We spent one day being "tourists" with Tenley:

Since it is the "Year of the Dragon", the Bellagio had their flower garden decorated for the occasion:

It was nice to show Tenley a little bit of the city and we also did some shopping and Uncle Mikey totally spoiled Tenley. He bought her the cutest pink glitter pants and her first pair of diamond earrings from Ben Bridge. That morning, I kept asking Tenley if she was getting diamonds and every time I would say diamonds she would smile - such a smart girl! Doesn't she look so cute in her diamonds?

(Thanks Uncle Mikey!)

Baby girl came down with a cold the day Mike and Ashley were leaving so we hung out at home before they left. I think it may have been her way of saying she was pissed they were leaving, but what do I know...

The next day we celebrated Tenley's 3 Month Birthday.

Grandma and Tenley had a giggle-fest:

It means the world to me that my family got to spend quality time with Tenley. It's extremely hard living so far from our families so we must take advantage of every moment that we do have together.
Hopefully we'll see my family again soon!

Next week my in-laws will be here! This month is jam-packed with fam and I'm lovin' it! :)

Super Model Status

Happy 3 Month Birthday, Tenley!

The definition of obsessed is "to preoccupy the mind of excessively."

I'm obsessed with my daughter. I could just eat her chunky cheeks up alllllll day. I was looking at her the other day while she was playing on her little play gym and I said to Ed, "I cant believe that is our daughter. Like, she has legs." I still can't believe she's mine. She's just perfect and I love, love, love being her mommy.

Little Miss Tenley Bear now weighs 16 pounds 8 ounces and is 26 inches long. Can you believe she is that long? Serious super model status right there! She currently wears size 3-6 month clothes and size 3 diapers. She holds her blankies, rattles, and toys. She pulls on her links, can roll over while on her tummy and has begun to roll on her side while on her back. She has also started to lift her head while she's laying down. Every day she fascinates me with something new. On her three month birthday she decided it was time to be extra cute with Grandma and giggle while playing in her crib:

She is also getting very smart and knows how to get what she wants. She knows if she fusses and cries we'll pick her up and cuddle her (probably not smart on our part to give into her, but hey!). If she's tired and doesn't want to sleep she also does this cry that almost sounds as if she's laughing really hard. She loves to "fly" with Daddy and drool all over his face while doing it - it's awesome. She can also hold a conversation in her lil' baby talk. Obviously, she has us wrapped around her tiny fingers, but I'm sure that's not very surprising. I can't wait to see what this next month of milestones has in store for us!
