Ball of Fun

There seems to be a reoccurring question that I constantly find myself asking...

Where has the time gone?!

I seems like just yesterday my sweet angel pie used to fall asleep in our arms and cuddle with us...

She used to sleep anywhere and wasn't phased by anything...

(This is my fav!! Too funny...)

(Can't wait to put up our Christmas tree!!)

Seriously, where has the past TEN MONTHS gone?? Our baby is getting so big and it's so sad. We went shopping at The Gap and bought Tenley the cutest clothes for winter in size 18-24 months and the tag read "Toddler Girl"... I had a total melt down after I rocked her to sleep that night. Toddler Girl. Really?! Couldn't they just put Bigger Baby Girl or something? Ugh. Just two more short months and my baby will be a toddler. I am not prepared or willing to accept it. I'm going to be a blubbering mess at her party. Why do they have to grow up?! Seriously, why? She is always going to be my baby girl.

Anyways, the fact of the matter is that Tenley Bear is 10 stinkin' months old now! She is just a ball of fun and does NOT sit still! Just look at this lil' monster:

T-bird packed on 2 pounds this past month and now weighs a whopping 24 pounds! (No wonder I have some solid guns without going to the gym anymore.) She is also about 30 inches tall. She has 4 teeth right now - her two bottom teeth and her top two canine teeth. When she smiles real big and shows her top teeth she looks like a total vamper. Maybe I watched too many vampire shows while I was pregnant? Either way, we got a baby vamper on our hands!

She is also a mini genius, too! Last month we started to teach her some sign language just for fun and what sign do you think this chunk picked up on super quickly?! MILK. She signs for milk alll the time. She'll crawl to the chair I nurse her in and sign like she's milking a cow. Hilarious. I am blown away by how smart and big she is every day. I mean, this chick could totally pass for a 16 month old girl. She could be the poster child for successfully breast fed babies. You can't help but want to squish her chub NON-STOP.

(Speaking of poster child... wouldn't she be a perfect Gerber baby? Well, I entered her in 'The Gerber Generation Photo Search'. If she were to win her milestone category she would win a $10,000 Gerber Life College Plan so please be a peach and click here to vote for Tenley Bear! Be sure to share it on Facebook so all of your friends and family could vote for her, too. Thanks a bunch!)

The major milestone she hit this month is... STANDING! Baby girl walks along the furniture and walls then pushes off and stands all by herself. Or she'll be leaning against her bookshelf or toys and start to stand on her own. When she is tired of standing she'll slowly lower herself down and sit instead of just falling on her butt like she used to do. She can also squat to pick up her toys now, too.

When we hold out our arms for her to walk to us she tries, then lowers herself down and starts to quickly crawl to us. She has seemed like she was going to take a step a few times and we've gotten super excited, but no steps just yet. We're being patient because we don't want to push her. She'll walk when she's ready and we'll be there with open arms to hug her and squeeze her with excitement when she decides the time is right. I just can't believe I'm already talking about her walking...

Dear Time,

You're going too fast for my emotions and I can't handle it. Can you please slow down?

Sincerely,
Emotionally Challenged Mother

Happy 10 Month Birthday, Tenley Bear!!

Weekly Update

The week was off to a much better start...

There's nothing, I mean, nothing like a good talk with your momma to clear your head and make you feel your best again. To make me feel even better, I received this picture text message from my wonderful momma after our phone conversation that read:

"Hi Aunt Kelli hope your felling better. I hope Tenley likes the dresses we picked for her. Love you and Uncle Ed."

I definitely don't get to see my mom (and beautiful/hilarious niecey and handsome/shy nephew) as often as I'd like since we live so apart, but it has made me really appreciate the time we do share and cherish the small things, such as a phone conversation or even a simple picture text message. This really made my day!
(Thanks, Mom - you're the best!)

Tenley started the week off chompin' on some juicy watermelon:

She loves to bang on the glass when Pearl is outside:

She is obsessed with pulling every couch cushion off and crawling around on them:

She knows how to open everything (time to buy latches) and found her hair bows:

She played with these fun sunglasses that Gramps picked out for her:

She had her very first popsicle while at a play date...

...and totally lovedddd it!

She sang and danced to the Hot Dog song:

Thursday was like Christmas around here because she got a box of goodies from Grandma Cathy and Grandma and Grandpa D:

Grandma Cathy sent her a bunch of clothes that her niecey and nephew picked out for her:

Grammy and Gramps sent her some fun Minnie Mouse toys and some books:

She was in lurve with her Minnie pillow:

She also loves her new Minnie compact and stood up while holding it:

She had so much fun opening presents. Thanks everyone for the fun gifts!!
(Can you even imagine this one's first birthday?! This was just because they missed her. Yowza...)

Tenley was attacked by the Tickle Monster:

Tenley loves Mickey Mouse SO much that she can't go anywhere without him... He's now in the car with her:

She loves to play 'fetch' with Pearl:

She got down on some blueberry puree:

She had a blast at the splash pad (and was just as adorable as ever!):

I woke up to feed Tenley around 5:30am and she ate for about 1 minute and was passed out in my arms so I couldn't help but bring her into our bed to cuddle. Unfortunately, every time I bring her in bed to cuddle with me she always ends up cuddling with her Daddy:

What a great way to wake up, huh? Love those two.

Until next week! :)
