Weekly Update

Whatever had Wes sick, hit all three of us girls Sunday evening. We were up all night throwing up and were absolutely miserable Monday morning. Poor Evie didn't move from the couch all day:

Wes was all better and I was a little better by Tuesday evening:

On Wednesday, Ev started to feel better. She was finally able to eat toast, smile and chat my ear off:

The twins helped me wrap Daddy's Christmas present and, of course, we had to use Ninja Turtle wrapping paper:

Wes and I read books while we snacked on Fruit Loops:

Since everyone was feeling better, we decorated our gingerbread house when Daddy got home from work:

It wasn't feeling like Christmas since we had yet to go light-seeing, so we piled in the car and went to see our favorite neighborhoods:

This was the kid's favorite this year:

The kids were exhausted and would've slept in, but I had to wake them up since Tenley was going back to school:

Tenley made it back to school just in time for "Ugly Sweater Day" and looked far from ugly in her emoji sweater:

She was so excited to do school work and came home with lots of goodies:

That evening we wrapped the custom signs we had made for the kid's teachers. They came out so cute:
(Tenley's classroom is a Dalmatian theme and this came out perfect!)

Ev and Wes went back to school on Thursday, just in time for their Christmas party, so they were pretty excited:

The twins made us the cutest ornaments and played with the Christmas stickers they got from their teachers:

After teaching Thursday evening, I got the cutest candle and yummiest cronut from Kristine and Amelia sent home presents for the kids:

(Thanks ladies!! Love you both!!)

The twins made little dreidels Friday morning and Tenley brought home lots of school work:

Uncle Mike and Jolynn sent the kids Christmas suckers and sent Mommy uncle Mike's homemade red wine- Mr. November:

(Thanks guys!! We love and miss you SO much!!)

After dinner we made Ed's favorite cookies- peanut butter blossoms and even made some with Reese's:

I found this note from Tenley under the tree Friday evening and was cracking up:

Our old Pearly has been sick and had to get groomed after having a rough night of being sick. Poor girl has had us worried! After we picked her up from the groomers we took her to look at Christmas lights with us. Ev was so excited to have her back and insisted on holding her the entire time:

Sunday was Christmas Eve and we had a low-key, but wonderful time celebrating Jesus' birthday!

Until next time! :)

A Very Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve was off to a sweet start with cinnamon rolls for breakfast:

Tenley was such a big help with pierogies this year! In fact, she was so good that she even did some on her own. The dough rolled out so easily and we had a blast making them together:

After dinner, Tenley helped me prep our traditional egg soufflé for Christmas morning. Girlfriend cracks eggs better than me:

Before bed we prepped Santa's cookie dish and mug full of milk. Since we used all of our carrots in our wedding soup we left Santa's reindeer pretzels:

The kids got a new book to read on Christmas Eve night and were so excited that it was 'The Polar Express':

That night Santa delivered and Mommy caught him in action:

Tenley woke everyone up before 5:30am and couldn't wait anymore. They rushed to the Christmas tree and were greeted with lots of presents from Santa:

Ev only asked for a mermaid tail and 1 LOL. She got a purple mermaid tail and we found her tons of LOLs. Her reaction was priceless:

I love watching the kids open their presents on Christmas morning, but the best is playing with the new toys all day:

The kids got 3 new board games 'Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots', 'Scrabble Junior' and 'LOL Surprise! The Game'. These were my favorite gifts they got because it was so much fun to be in our jammies and play board games with each other all day:

Since we were sick for weeks prior to Christmas, it didn't really feel like Christmas time. At least we were feeling well enough to enough the holiday as a family. Our Christmas was very quiet, relaxing and full of magic and love; which is really the best gift of all.

Thanks to everyone who thought of the kids and made their Christmas that much more special-- we love you!

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!
