Tenley had fun playing in the "big bed" before bathie time:
She woke up in a super good mood the next day...
...must've been because she knew she had a package of goodies from Grandma C waiting for her:
She munched on carrot rice cakes and it got a lil' messy:
She played dress up in her party dress from The Flauto's:
(Thanks great Aunt Donna, great Uncle Chris, cousin Jill, and cousin Gary!!)
She read books in her Pooh chair:
Conrad and Elle came over to play and Tenley played with Elle's naked babydoll:
Recently, Tenley has been on a nursing strike during the day (insert sad face). When I try to nurse her she just cries because she wants to go play. I've managed to get her to nurse with her standing up and on the move (sometimes), but it's becoming too much of a circus. I just have to put my emotions aside and accept it. MY. BABY. IS. GROWING. UP. During the day she only wants solids and especially loves things that she can feed to herself - little miss independent. Anyways, T's favorite thing to eat for dinner is chicken (that I bake in the oven) and corn...
...while my favotite thing to eat was this delicious pot of chili - YUMMM!!
(It sure would be nice if the weather weren't in the high 80's/90's though!)
T bear modeled this dress that Grandma Cathy sent her:
She opened the blinds so Pearl could bark at the neighbors:
(These two just kill me.)
She loves to chomp on naners, too:
She got real messy with the naners for breakfast and even got them in her eyebrows:
She was being such a cutie while we played:
She started to use her highchair as a walker:
We went shopping for Tenley's birthday photos next week and I decided to get a Wetzel Pretzel... As Ed was taking a picture of Tenley and I, the lil' pretzel thief snatched the pretzel out of my hand and took a massive bite!! We were laughing so hard then Ed was so worried that she was going to choke because it was such a big piece that he walked away as I continued to laugh hysterically. I knew that my chunk could handle it, though. After all, this lil' chunk got two new choppers this week!!
Whenever T gets into something that she's not supposed to I shake my finger at her and say "no, no, no" and now she shakes her finger at me all the time:
Lordy, Lordy does my daughter have such a character! She is so much fun and keeps Ed and I laughing non-stop. To top off a great week, our lil' munch decided to take her walking skills to the next level. She has been taking "baby steps" for awhile now and some people would even consider that to be "walking". In the beginning of the week she took 7 steps, then on Sunday she started to walk from the wall to the highchair, then to the table, from the table to the sliding glass door... She started to realize "hey, I can get around like this!" Then after her bath she was screaming and crying because she was so tired. She was squirming out of Ed's arm so he stood her up by her closet and she walked from there to her rocking chair (if you've been in her room you'll know that this is a big deal!). Usually when she is cranky she will just crawl so that is when we were like, "We've got a walker!"
