Weekly Update

The splash pads opened on Monday so the twins and I met the Venturinos at Reunion Trails for the start of Vegas Summer. We weren't prepared for water 'cause I suck like that, but the kids played and got wet anyways:

Tenley was beaming when I picked her up from school...not because she learned about the letter 'Y', but because she got drawings from Jackson AND Camden. This chick is T-R-O-U-B-L-E:

On Tuesday, we met the Venturinos at The District and this time I was prepared with T's swim suit and water toys. The girls played together so well and all us gals had fun shopping afterwards:

The twins made their 'Y''s at school and Tenley was excited when she got mail from Isla:

Another day, another splash pad date! We spent Wednesday morning at the splash pad with the Poe boys and the kids had a blast cooling off together:

(These two are soooo sweet together!!)

Tenley had a great day at school and made an adorable barn:

Tenley made us matching friendship bracelets and had me wear it to teach that night:

Cassi watched T while I took class Thursday morning. Before class we went to 'Donut Mania' where Tenley used her "good girl money" to buy herself a donut. She always chooses a strawberry glaze with sprinkles, but they had donuts with Oreos and Fruity Pebbles so she was a bit indecisive. She decided she was going to "branch out" and settled on a vanilla glaze with sprinkles. Real original, T:

(Thanks, Cassi!!)

I could tell the twins weren't really into their barns like T was:

Since I had Thursday off and already got in my PB fix, we took the kids to the park, sans swim suits (again), and they got soaked:

My friends at 'Freshly Picked' sent the twins their newest creation: The Freshly Picked Sandal and it is perfection (no surprise there, though!):

Tenley colored her teachers a picture for Teacher Appreciation Week and was so excited to give it to them:

We had time to kill before Wes' hair appointment so the kids watered our dead flowers (I can't keep a plant alive in the desert for the life of me!). I bought a mini sombrero and maracas for my Friday afternoon class and they insisted on stealing them and playing with them outside:

Then, Wes got his hair cut and boy does he love getting his hair cut:

Tenley brought home this fun Yak:

I taught such a fun class on Friday; which was Cinco De Mayo and, of course, I came dressed for the occasion! These ladies make is so hard for me to say this is a "job". I just love teaching them and watching them get stronger daily:

Class was followed by tacos at home...healthy, of course! I recently ditched cheese and took my "no carbs" to a new level. I must say, I feel great without milk and cheese. Plus, when you start getting creative with your food, it's even tastier (and better for you):

Ev woke up stuffy Saturday morning so I kept her home from dance class. Tenley was good to go to dance and they are in full recital mode:

When I got home from work she greeted me at the door like this:

We stayed inside Sunday because of Ev. It was an extremely lazy, but successful day because the kids played so nicely together and I got in a nap... #winning:

Ev and Wes were very lovey-dovey as they got ready for bed:

The kids start private swim lessons tomorrow and it's going to be a crazy 3 weeks around here!

School. Swim. Rest. Repeat.

Until next week! :)
