Weekly Update

Tenley was so excited after school on Monday because her Bucket Filler shirt came in AND she got gummy worms for being a "book worm" by turning in her second Apple Core bookmark:

Of course, I had to wash her new shirt right away so she could wear it to school on Tuesday. She was so excited and I couldn't be more proud:

Ed took Tenley to a make-up cheer class Tuesday evening. She went right after eating dinner and complained of a belly ache throughout the class. She participated sometimes, but sat and watched for most of the class. I was so proud of her for not wanting to bail on class and wanting to stay and learn from watching:

Everly and Wesley learned about the letter 'O' at school and made oranges:

Tenley's school work has always been impressive to me, but somehow it keeps getting better! While I was in awe of her work, she was on cloud 9 because her Kinder friend gave her a mood friendship bracelet:

Cassi wanted to see the kids so she took them to Starbucks while I took class Wednesday morning. They love going to Starbucks with Cassi because she spoils them:
(You're the best, Cassi!!)

After working out, the kids and I went to get my volunteer badge from the CCSD. I love that Tenley's school is doing everything to keep the kids safe at all times and I can't wait to get back into the classroom next week:

Tenley's school work was so good and she even put a sweet note for me on the back:

We worked on punctuation and I was impressed with her reading skills:

Ev and Wes read "The Rainbow Fish" at school and made their own fishies. They named them Sparkles and Glitter:

While I worked Thursday evening Ed took the kids to Ev's make-up dance class and treated them to Panera after:

The twins and I met the Poes at the park for lunch after preschool on Friday and enjoyed our last bit of warm(er) weather:

Ev and Wes made the cutest countdown to Christmas at school that morning. Ev kept telling everyone, "we gots pom-poms to put on our Santa calenda!" She was thrilled:

Over Thanksgiving break, Tenley got to level 5 on Lexia! Her teacher is catching up on printing certificates, so she got her certificate for completing level 3 and 4 on Friday and was pumped:

We wanted to do something fun Friday evening and Wes wanted so badly to go ice skating. Ethel M's Cactus Garden has a rink this year so we figured we'd go look at the lights and skate. The kids were so excited, but turns out the don't let kids under 5 on the rink. The kids, especially Wes, were so bummed! We made it up to them by visiting Santa. Wes kept making the silliest faces and when Santa asked Tenley what she wanted for Christmas she said, "a present for Mommy, Daddy, Wessie and Evie." My heart melted! Her sweet self totally made up for not being able to ice skate:

The boys went to the park, while us girls spent our morning at Gymcats for cheer and dance. We had a surprise visit from the Medranos and are so excited for Addy to join the cheer class next week:

Saturday evening Ev's dance class performed at the Galleria Mall to prepare for next weeks winter recital. We were all so excited for her and I think she was really excited to have the spotlight all to herself:

She focused more on her singing than her dancing, but I'm still proud of her for being brave enough to get out there. Everly is such a special girl:

Wes was just excited for pretzel bites afterwards:

After work Sunday morning, we went to Town Square to meet Santa. The kids were more prepared this time. Ev and Wes had me write a list and Tenley wrote her own (Santa was even able to read it!). This time she was asking for gifts... 3 to be exact: a make-up set, a dress and Shopkin Squishies. Ev asked for a mermaid tale and LOLs. Wes asked for Grossery Gangs, Legos, double skateboard and double basketball (????). Their lists change daily and some of them don't even exist, but 'tis the season, right? Santa took their letters and was so sweet! He asked them to make a pact to stay on the nice list and be good listeners. They loved him:

We spent the afternoon being lazy. Ev loves playing "ABC School"; which means she's my teacher. She drew pictures as I guessed what she drew:

After baths, the kids ganged up on Daddy:

Until next time! :)
