What A Difference...

A YEAR MAKES!!

This was Eddie and I a year ago...

On February 11, 2011, Eddie and I found out that we had a bun in the oven.

Now we have a family and life is hardly recognizable. I feel as if my life will never be the same. Things that seemed important just don't even cut it anymore. It is rare if I get to shower AND put on makeup these days. Not that it matters because the only time I leave the house is to go grocery shopping, to doctor's appointments or on play dates. If we have extra money it goes to straight to the Queen herself. I'd rather buy Tenley new toys and clothes than buy something for myself anyways. I also haven't had a night out of total craziness because my nights with her are crazy enough with all of her feedings as it is. I'm also convinced that getting your "pre-pregnancy body" back is just plain bogus. I think you just have to grow to love your new skin and frankly I'm just not loving it yet. I've got work to do, but like I said my life is unrecognizable and for being a certified spinner you wouldn't know it because I'd rather be home playing with Tenley on her playgym than at an actual gym. What happened to me? Oh yeah, I'm a Mommy, but it is by far the greatest thing ever. The good far exceeds the bad. When Tenley is giving me a hard time there is usually a moment of sweetness where she cuddles on me or smiles at me and all is forgotten. There are even days when she is so stinkin' sweet that I get baby fever (already)! If you were to ask me a year ago how many kids I wanted I would have said 2 and now I'd say 4. Tenley brings so much joy to my heart that she makes my life worth living. I can't imagine my life without her in it and can't imagine going back to the way my life was before. I'm looking forward to how fun and interesting this next year is going to be with her in it - sitting up, eating, crawling, talking, WALKING!!... Ohhh it's going to be a blast!!
