We got our Fall Family Photos back from Chelsea and they are seriously perfect:
The kids went to work with me Monday morning and had fun running up and down the long halls:
Tenley learned about the letter 'J' at school; which stands for Jelly Beans Jackson:
Ev has a really hard time saying bye to me when I leave for work. I can't even manage to sneak out because she is literally my shadow. She cried so hard Monday evening that she put herself to sleep on Daddy and he was loving the snuggles:
Christmas decor is 50% off at Hobby Lobby so Tenley and I had fun decorating the house with some new stuff and singing Christmas carols (and Thanksgiving music, too!):
Every time I pick the twins up from school they say, "you got prise (surprise) for me, mommy?" After I told them I didn't have a surprise, Ev kept saying "awe man!" and smacking her thigh- it was the cutest thing:
We bought Santa faces to paint at Hobby Lobby and the kids couldn't wait to get started:
Wes had his 6 or 7th haircut (I lost count) Wednesday morning. Since Ev still has no hair to cut, she tried on hair extensions:
I'm really trying to focus on the true meaning of Christmans so after Wes' hair cut, we headed to my work to donate food for The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. The kids had fun filling bags with food and were so excited to drop the food in the big red box. They even got to play with our Pure Barre Henderson mascot- Mugs:
When we picked up T from school she showed us her work and Miss Susan gave all the kids a Christmas present- a countdown to Christmas:
While T and Wes relaxed, I tried to get some work done and Ev copied my every move with her "pooter":
Our Santa masks were dried and we had fun wearing them and yelling, "HO-HO-HO!":
The kids had school pictures this week and the twins were so excited for their first school pics:
Miss Jennifer said they smiled so cute and they couldn't stop talking about how they made blue jackets:
Grammy and Pop Pop sent the kids Christmas ornaments and they were so excited:
(Thanks so much!! Love you!!)
The kids decorated their gingerbread house that evening and it turned out so cute. They were so focused and Tenley was all about making patterns with the candy:
The twins and I ran errands Friday morning, while T was busy making jingle bells and "j" candy canes:
We did a little light-seeing Friday night and were sad we didn't find as many as we normally do, but we still got lots of time:
I was feeling like the worst mom ever Saturday because I accidentally took my car to work not realizing that Ed needed the carseats to take Ev to dance. She was bummed so I was heartbroken. To make up for it we took them to Downtown Summerlin's Christmas parade. It was such a beautiful night and the kids loved all the characters walking around. The parade was shorter than our drive there, but the kids loved it and went especially nuts for the "snow":
Evie didn't last 5 minutes in the car before passing out. Girlfriend dropped her candy cane lollipop in her seat and when I took her out it was stuck to her butt. Sweet girl slept all the way until Sunday morning:
After teaching class Sunday morning, we took the kids to see Santa. Tenley was so excited to give him her list of things she wants (every Ever After High Doll, a doll house, barbie car and a puppy), while Wes just told him he wanted "ninjy turtles" and Ev said she wants a Barbie house. They loved their time with Santa and it made all of us so full of cheer:
We couldn't leave Town Square without going to the playground and getting pretzels:
We headed to the Bellagio to see their Christmas display and it was honestly not as good this year. To someone who doesn't see it every year it was stunning, but they did away with the snow tunnel this year. The kids loved walking through it and looking at all the little snow balls. It was still quite magical, though:
Since we were close to UNLV, Ed took me by his latest job site. It's huge and I'm so proud of him! Ed explained to the kids that this is where Daddy works, then I pointed to the Business Building next door and told them how that was the building I spent most of my college time in. After our little stories Tenley said, "Good job, Daddy! Good job, Mommy! Keep up the good work!" We were cracking up! The kids love seeing parts of our life outside of them so it's fun to get reactions like that. After seeing Daddy's work, Ev passed out while still eating pretzels:
We finished our busy day by making 'Trolls' cookies and decorating them with sprinkles:
What a great week! I just love this time of year!
Until next week! :)
