Tenley had a dance party/cuddle fest with Pearl:
I swear, Tenley dances allllll day. If she hears music she just automatically starts dancing or if you tell her to dance she will start to shake it right then and there. This chick is quite the dancing machine:
We took T to Reunion Trails splash pad in an attempt to stay cool:
I made some yummy homemade pepperoni rolls for dinner:
We met The Rices & Robbins at Reunion Trails splash pad in the morning and both T and I got soaked:
Ed worked the night shift so T and I kept busy by coloring in her Sofia the First coloring book, playing hide and seek, writing on the chalkboard wall, and T insisted that I paint her fingernails a cotton candy pink, of course:
We also goofed off while relaxing on the couch:
On Wednesday we took T to see Despicable Me 2 and she absolutely loved it (and so did we)! We weren't surprised that she was so into it though because she loves the first one and laughs every time she sees a minion. She also had a blast running down the exit hall, walking up and down the stairs and chowing down on some popcorn and Reese pieces:
Karina had asked me to come to the birth of their newest addition and I was totally in. When her due date of July 2nd passed we were on pins and needles waiting for the little munchkin to arrive. On the 3rd, her midwife told her that she expected her to be in labor around 8pm that night so I immediately texted Karina after the movie around 6pm to see how she was feeling and I got a response of, "I was just texting you. It's time." Ed drove home quickly, I changed into something comfy and headed right over to Karina's. When I arrived she was already having strong contractions. We all took turns applying pressure to her back and did anything she requested. At around 9:30pm her midwife measured her at 6cm and what literally felt like minutes later Karina was having realllly strong contractions. IT WAS TIME. Karina got out of bed, climbed in her tub, said she felt her head and after a big plop in the water Karina was pulling Alena on her chest. Yupp, it was that easy, folks! Only 4 total hours of labor. I've never witnessed anything like it in my life. Karina is a warrior! I'm so blessed that she wanted to include me in such an amazing part of her life. I will never forget Alena's face when she came out, how alert she was and how comfortable she looked in her Mommy's arms. She is just beautiful:
(Congrats you guys!!)
We celebrated the 4th of July.
Tenley picked out some Tinkerbell panties so we let her hang out in them on Friday. She had fun sitting on the potty and trying to pee, but got bored with it and wouldn't let us put her on the potty again. All she wanted to do was play:
Sam was in town from Seattle so I met her and Momma D for dinner at Red Robin. We had so much fun catching up and I miss her already:
Ed brought T to see Sam and Dee after we finished eating. Then, Tenley did some shopping at The Gap and refused to let us leave without these new shades:
T and Daddy slept in until 9am Saturday morning while I laid next to them and admired my view:
We went to Town Square and played for a bit outside:
That night, we went to Hidden Falls Park to tire the munch out some more and she insisted in wearing her shades:
After breakfast on Sunday we went to watch the planes land, then headed to Acacia Park:
(Don't be fooled...she was having a blast!)
After our nap, we were surprised to hear it raining outside so we hurried up and went outside to dance in the rain:
(Hey you! Come join me!)
My brother, Mike, posted this picture on Facebook and it made my day because it made me realize that they wished I was with them and missed me just as much as I miss them:
(Love my Mommy and 3 crazy bros!! Miss you guys!!)
Until next week! :)
