Ed finished painting Tenley's "new" furniture Sunday night so I went to take a peek Monday morning and fell in love with it:
The twins were up bright and early and demanding breakfast right off the bat so I made the minions their favorite breakfast- cracked eggs in the pan with avocados:
Once we dropped sissy off at school, we headed to Town Square to hit up Old Navy to look for outfits for our upcoming family photos. We were wrong about their hours so we got to play outside for a bit before shopping. All of that fresh air really exhausted them because they literally fell asleep before we got on the freeway to head back to pick Tenley up:
Tenley learned about the letter 'A' and learned all about apples. She also learned that worms can sometimes be found in apples so she now inspects her apple very thoroughly before taking a bite:
The twins decided that the car ride nap was good enough for the day and that they just wanted to spend the rest of the day relaxing and spreading the love:
Sweet baby Amelia came to visit us Tuesday morning and the kids, especially the girls, were so in love with her (I mean, how could you not be?). Tenley loved holding her and, of course, didn't let her leave without bringing out her inner princess:
It may not have been my best idea, but the kids have been loving to paint, so we painted in the house. It was a total mess, but now we have a beautiful masterpiece proudly displayed in the playroom:
Evie still hasn't been herself. We just can't get the poor little peanut to poop. She did sleep in for once Wednesday morning so I was hoping that would help her mood a bit:
While Tenley was at school, the babes and I went to Target and found these awesome Batman masks that they just loved and giggled every time they looked at them so they were a must buy:
(While trying to put Ev in her car seat she had another episode. It took me 15 minutes to get her into the car and this man starred at me the ENTIRE time. It was so hot out and I got so sweaty because I was frustrated, nervous and overwhelmed. I was sure he was on the phone with CPS.)
Since we still can't use our garage, due to the painting, these goofs walked to the front door and camped out with their gluten-free (even giving that a try for Evie) Chex. I was drying:
Ev hadn't pooped since Monday and the episodes were coming on more since our Target trip so I called her pediatrician again. Since Ev wouldn't eat Miralax in yogurt or oatmeal she suggested putting it in pumped milk since she likes to nurse so much still. Call me selfish, but I just didn't want to do that unless it was my last option since these guys nurse so much already. I tried one last thing- smoothies. Evie loved it and Wes loved his laxative-free one, too (he was so thrilled to finally have a boy cup!):
When Tenley got home from school she was just as excited about the Bat-masks as me! We just had to send Daddy a selfie or 2...or 10:
We made homemade pizza for dinner and these two killed me as they fed each other:
The Venturino babes came over Thursday morning and the kids had a dance party. These kids crack me up:
I got my hair done Thursday night and my girl taught me how to cornrow braid (I think that's what it's called). I did it to T's hair Thursday morning and she was so obsessed with it that she kept checking herself out in the pick-up line at school:
While Tenley was off at school, I convinced some of my girlfriends to meet me at the park for a group exercise called Cize. A girl I know teaches the class, your allowed to bring kids and it's free so I mean, hey! Why not?! We figured we'd all try it and if the kids couldn't sit still we'd just go play with them at the park. Turns out it was a dance-styled class and we were all shaking in our tennis shoes, but gosh did we laugh. Evie instantly had to get out so I did half of the workout with her on my shoulders then all the kids just went and played on the playground right next to us while we danced our booties off. It was a lot of fun and I really wish I could do it everyday. I know the kids sure had a blast (until Wes caught my layup ball to the nose...whoops!):
(She literally just had Amelia and is this skinny!! Freak of nature.)
After working out and playing at the park, we went to pick Tenley up and got schooled about her 5 senses:
Finally, little miss thang got a poop out and boy was it good! The daily Miralax must've started to kick in. I'm so glad this may be the solution we need because this is nothing...this we can handle! Thanks to everyone who sent us all of you amazing vibes during trying to figure this out! We truly appreciate it!!
That night Ed and I were being sneaky as we took turns getting Tenley's room ready to reveal to her. While Ed set up her bed, I kept her busy with the Bat-mask, duh:
(Don't worry, I'm totally responsible.)
(I think I almost pee my pants every time I look at these pictures!)
The big girl room reveal was such a success and T loved it! She slept like such a dream in her new room:
Tenley had dance Saturday morning and got fitted for her winter program- 'Flakes':
Every year when the big inflatable slides go up at the pumpkin patches Tenley freaks out. So although all the pumpkins weren't at the pumpkin patch yet, we were there to celebrate the season and the kids couldn't have been happier! Tenley and Isla really got much more adventurous this year, going up and down the slides over and over again all by them selves. Ev is such a little thrill seeker that we could not get her off the slides. It was such a good time and I know we'll likely be here every weekend:
We met Linds and Sandi at 'Art in The Park' Sunday morning. The girls had so much fun getting their face's painted. Tenley picked a Minnie Mouse head because she thinks we are going to Disneyland everyday (3 more weeks!!). It was such a beautiful day for 'Art in The Park'. I got so many ideas of things I want to make and I love my sunflower sponge holder that I snagged this year:
Until next time! :)
