Weekly Update

After 2 weeks off of school, Tenley was super excited to go back and learn a.k.a. be with her friends. She is such a social butterfly. Every time I pick her up she quickly tells me everything that her friends "chit-chatted" about, but she is always super shy about what she learned. She is such a perfectionist that she is scared to give the wrong answer. On Monday she was actually excited to tell me how they learned about the letter 'L' and made light bulbs. She wouldn't tell me anything else, but she sure was proud of her lightbulb:

Evie chose to nap on the couch instead of napping with her brother and I was insanely jealous of how peaceful she looked:

The twins are still up to their nighttime tricks and really gave it hell Monday night. Needless to say, after screaming at the door for hours I gave up and brought them into bed at 11:30pm:

I turned 29 on Tuesday and I had the best day because the kids were so well behaved. Ed said I need to "live it up" this year since it's my last year as a twenty-something, but my idea of "living it up" these days is having tickle fights and cleaning. Good thing I have the cutest helpers:

Besides being extremely handsome, Wes is very smart. I love watching him grow and learn new things. Hearing him say new words is pretty much the cutest thing:

Ed brought me home bundtinis from my favorite cake place- Nothing Bundt Cake. The kids (and Ed) sang 'Happy Birthday' to me, while Ev practiced blowing out my candle for her upcoming birthday. They each got a bundtini and loved it just as much as I did:

That night Ed read the kids their nightly book and I caught myself admiring the amazing father that he is:

The twins were happy to run errands with me while T was in school on Wednesday and they looked so adorable:

Tenley practiced her odd numbers at school on Wednesday and we clearly have some work to do:

The kids and I spent the rest of the day making sugar cookies, chocolate covered pretzel rods and chocolate dipped rice krispie treats for the twins upcoming birthday party:

The twins were so freaking cute as they both tried getting the chocolate off one dipping stick- 'Lady and The Tramp' style:

The kids danced while I finished up the pretzels, rice krispies and decorated the sugar cookies:

I had a rough night as I thought about the twins turning 2. It went by way too fast. I sobbed in bed as I looked at pictures from their first few months of life:

I kissed my babes so hard when they woke up on Friday. The thought of them being 2 just breaks my heart. It seems like just yesterday I gave birth to them. Evie is the teeniest little peanut and is as sweet as the day she was born. She loves to dance, wonder, play with tiny figurines and is such a daredevil. She is so quiet and will only speak when she wants to. When she wants something she clicks to let you know and most of the time she gets it from Tenley. Wes is the complete opposite of his twin sister and identical to his big sis. He is tall and sturdy with the silliest personality, but is still the sweetest little boy. He loves to dance, scream, throw things and loves anything to do with balls. He is loud and such a parrot, the boy will say anything you ask him to. Although he is mostly 0-60 non-stop, he also loves to sit back and relax. They are both learning new things everyday and know quite a bit of colors and numbers. This week we taught them how to show that they are two years old. Unfortunately they keep putting up 4 fingers since Tee-Tee is 4. These guys crack me up:

While Tenley was in school, the twins and I went to buy balloons for their birthday. They refused to let me put the balloons in the car while we ran the rest of our errands. You could see us from a mile away:

We dropped off the balloons before picking Tenley up so she could fit in the car. They were so excited to carry the balloons into the house and looked beyond adorable with their number 2 balloons:

Tenley made a penguin puppet at school on Friday and it was so cute:

Ev skipped her nap because she was too dang excited about her balloons so she ended up "resting" with Tenley:

That night we went to the Rainforest Cafe to celebrate Everly, Wesley and my birthdays. The kids were crazy and crawling all over the booth. Ed and I just sat their laughing because it was what is was. They had a blast being rambunctious and the volcano desert made it worthwhile:

Grammy and Pop Pop arrived just before the twins second birthday party and the kids couldn't have been more excited:

The twins napped for hours after their party. Ed and I were exhausted from all the party prep so we got pizza for dinner and stayed in with the fam. The girls had a blast dressing up together:

The twins slept in Sunday morning and were snuggled up on each other so sweetly:

We went to Disney on Ice presents 'Frozen' with the whole fam Sunday morning. The girls really loved the show and Wes went nuts whenever Donald Duck came on the ice. It's always so much fun watching the kids sing, throw ice and go crazy for their favorite characters:

The kids made everyone where party hats for dinner:

We had a date night with Linds and Mase and had way too much fun! Our server at Outback was awesome and we ate and drank slowly for once while laughing for hours. While at Outback we all got word that our kids were being good so we took the party to PT's to play pool since our kids were in such good hands:

Until next week! :)
