Monday started a new week without any birthday celebrations...whomp, whomp, whomp. The twins enjoyed coloring while their big sis was at school Monday morning:
It's been pretty chilly here in Las Vegas and Tenley made "snow dough" at school to celebrate. They also learned about the letter 'R' and made a super cute rocket:
We saw a preview for a Disney movie coming out in June- The BFG. I thought it looked scary (for Tenley), but she was so into it so I took the kids to Barnes & Noble to buy the book for us to read. The kids had way too much fun quietly reeking havoc all over the place and each picked out a book:
(Matilda was for me because when I saw it I couldn't wait to read it to Tenley!)
Later that afternoon the kids had a blast playing with Grammy and Pop Pop:
The twins are always posting up next to Pop Pop and insisted on sitting next to him while they ate their before bedtime snack:
Ev and Wes had a rough night so of course they snuggled in my bed and slept in so long that I had to wake them to take Tenley to school:
The babes were so excited to see Tenley's craft from school and she was really proud of her size comparison snowmen, too:
During the twins nap that afternoon I heard Evie rustling on the monitor so I ran into the room. When I entered the room I saw her rustling, then she turned towards Wes and stopped as soon as she felt his hand. I literally cried right then and there:
After naps, the girls loved reading storybooks with Grammy:
Tenley wanted oranges for breakfast Thursday morning and, of course, she had to peel them herself. I can't believe that my baby can prep her own food now:
The kids, Grammy and I met the Rice gals at Funlane Indoor Play and had so much fun! I can't get enough of watching these kids play together and it's even better when I get to see my mother-in-law play with them, too:
(Seriously, dead.)
Before the kids went down for a nap, the twins read Pop Pop a book:
The twins ate oranges while Tenley was at school and seeing them "cheers" with their oranges caused major cuteness overload:
Tenley was super excited about the "Vegas Snow" they made in school. Her glitter was overkill and she wouldn't have it any other way:
The kids were thrilled when Pop Pop came to visit:
I bought the kids these new Annie's cookies and Wes (and Pearl) loved them:
We had dinner at my brother-in-laws and Aunt Rie put Wes in an Elsa dress and he totally got into character! We were cracking up and the kids were not happy about leaving their cousin's house:
We all went to Tenley's dance class and Ev loved peeking in and waving to her big sis:
After dance we taught Grammy to make my Gammy's famous pierogies. Seeing Tenley love to do something that I truly cherished doing with my Gram is so special to me:
Even little Evie Cakes helped us make the 65 delicious pieorgies:
Sunday morning was our last day with my in-laws and it was heartbreaking. Watching the kids wave goodbye as Tenley yelled, "have a safe flight!" was heart wrenching:
Hearing Tenley say, "but you'll come back after nap time, right?" will never get easy. These kids are obsessed with their Grammy and Pop Pop (and so are we). We're so lucky that the kids have such awesome grandparents to count on. We're already looking forward to spending Easter with them in a few months. Miss and love you guys so much!
The kids wouldn't let us watch the Steelers game in the living room so we camped out in our bedroom. The kids got really quiet and Wes came around the corner saying, "boo mow (blue mouth)" and we were cracking up! Thank goodness for this silly boy:
During dinner I got Wes to say a few of my favorite words of his- Donald Duck and Gawrsh:
Until next week! :)
