Pajamas & Palettes {The Twins Turn Two!!}

Picking a fun gender neutral party isn't as easy as it sounds. Last year the twins had a Camp Double Trouble party and it was perfect. This year they have a ton of interests, but they both especially love anything to do with art and colors. It was kind of a no-brainer to throw an art party to celebrate their second birthday- a Pajamas and Palettes Party. To add to the fun we decided on a morning party since breakfast food is awesome, the kids could wear pajamas and we could guarantee good naps after! Invitations from minted went out and they were cuter than ever:

I'm not the craftiest person, but I love planning parties. Although it can be stressful, there's nothing like seeing your hours of crafting and baking come to fruition:

There wasn't much we had to do to get the kids ready besides throw on their party hats:

Forget eating all that yummy food, the kids were all about painting and quickly got down to business. It was so much fun seeing the kids get creative and make stunning masterpieces in their personalized art smocks:

While the bigger kids painted up a storm, little Sailor pranced around and baby Valentina caught up on her Z's:

Uncle Bob came to visit all the way from Ohio and Tenley really clung to him. She insisted on making sure he watched every paint stoke she made and constantly yelled, "Uncle Bob!! Come look at my painting!" She was so into it and was the last one to finish:

Aunt Shelley and Uncle Ed also came from Lake Havasu and it was so nice to see them:

After everyone finished painting, we sang 'Happy Birthday' to Ev and Wes. They were so excited to blow out their candles that we had to re-light the pancake cake (that Daddy made) over and over again:

After chowing down on pancake cake and cupcakes, the kids played and opened all the awesome gifts from their friends and family:

The kids continued to party once everyone left and had a blast in their Mickey Mouse Choo Choo Train:

It's hard to watch my babies grow up, but it's milestones (like their birthday) that make me remember that it just gets better with time. The kids had so much fun and there's nothing like seeing pure joy on their faces. I don't know how we got so lucky to be surrounded by so many people who love our kids so dearly, but it warms my heart to see and know how much they are loved. Thanks so much to everyone who sent them birthday wishes and everyone who helped make this party such a success!

Happy second birthday, Ev & Wes!!
