Evie slept in, while Wes and I were up bright and early:
After dropping Tenley off at school, Ev helped me workout and the best part about it was her mid-workout kisses:
Tenley learned about the letter 'E' at school on Monday and loved her craft so much that she ended up hanging it above her bed:
While the twins napped, Tenley and I practiced writing her name. We may be a little late to the game, but man-o-man was she excited and proud of herself when she wrote her name for the first time:
The weather was gorgeous on Tuesday so we spent some time playing in the backyard:
All the fresh air exhausted the kids so Wes relaxed on the couch:
Wes made a plane out of the kid's chairs after dinner. He spread his wings to steer the plane and was the cutest pilot I've ever seen:
The twins associate Tenley going to school with the "bark" and it's next to impossible to not go. Although it was a tad bit colder Wednesday morning, they insisted on a park morning. They had so much fun going down the slide a million times. I giggled every time Ev ran from the slide to the stairs; the way her little legs try to catch up with her body cracks me up:
I love watching them play together. They're always so sweet on each other and Wes is always taking care of Ev; they have such a sweet bond:
I saw this online and thought it was perfect for twin moms. When I'm at a park, store or anywhere really I feel like everyone has their eyes on them...or perhaps their starring at the shit storm that is my family:
Tenley learned about community workers on Wednesday. They learned about what each worker does and counted the workers' tools:
I haven't done much online shopping in awhile, but the kids were outgrowing their shoes and I couldn't pass up the Freshly Picked sale. Plus, I got some things I had been eyeing from June & January- the comfiest kid's clothes around! The kids instantly had to get dressed in their favorite colors, of course:
We had a relaxing Wednesday night at home. The kids played so sweetly together and gave the sweetest kisses:
Tenley has been obsessed with getting married and being a mom; which actually melts my heart because I somewhat think she wants to be like her momma. She is absolutely going to be one of those girls who plans her wedding non-stop when she's engaged because "she has been planning it since she was a little girl." Then she will have a litter of kids in no time. She loves her and Ev's Bitty Babies and pretends that they are her twins:
The Venturino gals came over for a play date Thursday morning. Valentina chilled on the couch the whole time while Pearl looked after her before Tenley took over:
The twins love the basketball hoop Karina brought them and played with it all day:
(Thanks, Karina!!)
After a long afternoon without naps I came across this and it couldn't be more perfect:
Ed found out last week that he was going to be off the following Friday. Since he was getting a 3 day weekend, I decided this would be the perfect time to wean the babes. I had been getting the babies ready for Friday all week. I tried cutting down the amount of times they nursed throughout the week and told them, "you're a big girl! You don't need milkies." It was heartbreaking to see them cry when I denied them, especially when Wessie would run to me and say "mulk! Mulk peas, momma." Literally, broke my heart, but enough was enough. After 2 years and 20 days, I had enough. My body was just drained and I was ready to be ME again. As much as I love nurturing them and breaks my heart that they will no longer be reliant on me, I know that they will still need me in other ways. To make it easier on me I decided to use my Green Valley Spa gift card from Ed so I scheduled my very first facial.
Tenley threw a wrench in our morning plans when she threw up in the middle of the night. Since she couldn't go to school in the morning, we couldn't take the twins to the park all morning to keep their minds off of milk. While the kids stayed home with dad, I kept myself busy with errands in the morning before running off to the spa during the kid's nap:

I felt so rejuvenated after my facial and spent some time relaxing with my feet in the jacuzzi:
I for sure thought that the twins wouldn't nap without nursing, but Ed exhausted them so much that they both fell asleep on him. Ev napped for 45 minutes, while Wes stayed passed out on daddy:
The twins were in a great mood Friday night and had a blast playing catch with daddy:
The twins aren't the only ones growing up these days...Sailor turned 1 on Saturday!! I can't believe that little chunk is already walking and playing with the big kids.
I went over the Rices before the party to help set up and Linds surprised me with a bottle of wine from her recent trip to Napa. Lindsay knows me so well and knows the way to my heart is through a good wine...especially one from freaking Napa!! Needless to say, I was stoked:

I planned on just going to the party with the twins, but we all ended up going because Tenley wasn't running a fever anymore and she would not stop talking about how excited she was for Sailor's birthday party. And thank goodness we didn't miss it because Linds threw the most beautiful garden themed party and we all had so much fun:
Ev is a woman of a few words so when she talks I can't help but smile and giggle at her hilarious personality. Leave it up to this girl to turn the discussion of a poopy diaper into the cutest thing ever:
Keeping up with the theme of focusing on myself, I ran to the park while Ed towed the kids in the wagon:
We played a little b-ball and had so much fun chasing each other around before hitting the play area of the park:
When we got home the kids hopped out of the wagon to see if they could get Pearl revved up by knocking on the door:
The twins went in their room for naps and we were cracking up when we noticed Wes napping like this:
The babes were begging for milk Sunday evening so to keep myself sane and keep them occupied we did a little yoga together before marching around the house in our Mickey ears:
I can't believe this was my last week nursing. It's bittersweet, but I'm looking forward to seeing them grow even more!
Until next week! :)
