Linds watched the kids Monday morning so I could go to barre and practice for my test out video. Since it was Halloween and Pure Barre was having a costume contest, I threw on Ev's kitty ears and got my seat carved by Wonder Woman:
Tenley had a blast as Repunzel at her school Halloween party Monday morning:
I gave the kids an early bath and the twins were layin' on the lovins and making me seriously weak in the knees:
Before heading to The Rices' Annual Spooktacular Party, we snapped pics with the kids. The twins were Hiro and Honey Lemon from 'Big Hero 6' (I was Baymax) and Tenley was Rapunzel (Ed was Ed):
It's hard to believe, but I only took 3 pictures of the kids trick-or-treating. Crazy, right?! We had so much fun at Linds' party stuffing our faces and laughing before heading out to trick-or-treat with everyone. The kids were so brave this year and we even managed to make it to "Halloween Street"; which was crazy. The entire street had ghosts strung from house to house and every house was spookily decorated. The kids surprised us and wanted to go in the haunted houses and weren't entirely scared of the "real man in the bubble bath (a zombie in a casket)":
(Thanks for always hosting the best Halloween party guys!!)
My silly gooses learned about the letter 'g' at school and could not stop talking about playing 'duck, duck, goose':
'Duck, duck, goose' must've got to Ev because she napped hard for the first time in a long time:
Wednesday was Tenley's turn to learn about the letter 'G', while the twins and I played at the park:
One of their favorite things to do at the park is to hear their echoes in the bathrooms:
And to chat about animals on the swings:
(Seriously how adorable is Ev's little voice?!)
Tenley had a rough night because she missed her Grammy. Poor girl was up crying so late that I had to wake her up to take the twins to school on Thursday:
After dropping the twins off, Tenley and I went to cast our vote for the upcoming election. Tenley thought it was so cool to drop my card into the box:
The man handing out the voting stickers thought Tenley was the sweetest thing and gave her a handful of stickers for her brother and sister; which made them feel pretty special since they were too busy at school to help cast our vote:
Without naps, it's next to impossible to get anything done these days. While trying to practice for my test out video, Ev was all over me and wouldn't let me get anything done. She's lucky she's cute:
Tenley continued to learn about the letter 'G' on Friday. I must say my heart exploded when Miss Marsha brought her to the car and could not stop gushing about how proud of Tenley she was. Hearing someone say that your child is "just an angel" is seriously the greatest thing ever! She loves school; which makes this momma so proud:
As if my day wasn't already great, Michelle and Cassi asked me to come in early so I could go over some payroll paperwork. When I walked in everything was normal, then I went to put my stuff in a cubby and they wouldn't let me in the back. They kept saying, "wait, we still need to go over the paperwork." I was freaking out and then Cassi said, "just be sure you have them back by Sunday because you're teaching at 10:30!" Then they went by the cubbies and grabbed glasses of champagne for a toast. It was seriously the sweetest thing and I was literally squealing and jumping up and down with excitement! I was not expecting to get the news so fast, but I was so excited and relieved. I've only been training for a month, but it felt like a lifetime. I was having nightly dreams of teaching my class. Talk about a great way to start the weekend:
When I got home the kids ran to the door screaming "congratulations, mommy!" and Wesley said, "you do such great job, Mommy!" and my heart melted:
Sunday morning I completed the 'See Your Strong' challenge at Pure Barre. I took 20 classes in 20 days. Either I'm extremely dedicated or have no life...it's all about your perspective. So I'd say my day started off pretty strong:
Ev was the only dancer to come to class Saturday morning and she was in Heaven. She was cracking us up because she kept kissing herself in the mirror and smiling ear-to-ear:
(Makes me sing "gotta kiss myself I'm so pretty!" every time!)
Tenley's class continued to work on their Winter Recital and Tenley must've missed Isla because she played with her hair the entire time:
After dance, Tenley and I went to get our nails done. While I picked a nude polish, she picked purple, teal and pink glitter (inspired by Maddy Hatter, of course). I love taking her to get her nails done because she loves it so much AND it's only $5... totally worth the joy:
We got a babysitter Saturday afternoon so we could go to The Stephens' Chili Cook-Off. Forget the chili, Jess made sangria that was spot on and I may or may not have drank 12 glasses and tried fire ball for the first time. We haven't had a night like that in awhile and I'm so glad we did because it was long overdue and the chili wasn't too bad either (even if the contest was rigged):
(Thanks for having us guys!!)
I co-taught my first class with Cassi Sunday morning and it was so much fun! Pure Barre isn't only about fitness, it's about supporting each other and I've never felt such a strong backing before in my life. My family, friends and Pure Barre family has been so supportive and helpful throughout the entire process and I've truly made lifelong friends. Some of the women I barre with daily came to support me and even Karina and Jess surprised me by signing up for my class. It was so nice to stand in front of everyone and see so many beautiful faces supporting me:
When I got home, Ev kept screaming, "show you!" and she brought me to the prettiest Pure Barre red flowers and a family portrait (that included Chelsea and a cupcake table...perfection!) drawn by Tenley:
(Seriously SO blessed!!)
WHAT A GREAT WEEK!!
I'm beyond blessed!!
Until next time! :)
