Ev had a case of the Mondays Monday morning (me too, sis):
Tenley had to miss school Monday to have dental work done and she was NOT happy about it. Luckily, the sweet Dental Hygienist gave her a lollipop right away; which made her a little happier about missing school:
I'm so mad at myself for not believing the dentist when he said Tenley had a cavity; which made it get worse. Tenley did great and is now cavity free:
That evening I had a meeting, then taught what I think may have been my toughest Empower class, ever. Everyone was dying and kept sprawling out on the floor. They were dying; which made me wayyy too happy. Obviously, I had to document it:
Tenley did her hair Tuesday morning and was so proud of it:
Ev was so excited for school and looked like a superstar:
Ev and Wes learned about the letter 'P' for Presidents:
It's Career Week at T's school and she's loving all the special guests. On Tuesday, Lance Burton came in and taught them some magic tricks and Tenley got a cute college shirt and piggy bank:
Tuesday night was a big night for me. It marked my 500th class at Pure Barre Henderson!! I honestly don't know how I held it together before I had that daily therapy for myself. Some may think it's selfish, but I find, for me, I'm healthier all around since finding PBH. Ed brought home red roses before I headed out to take my 500th class and it made my day:
My favorite little corner in the studio had a sign reserving my spot for class:
Cassi and Mish surprised me with all the Pure Barre 500 Club Member goodies:
I had been trying so hard to hit 500 before Amelia flew to Singapore for a show. I made it by the skin of my teeth...last class before she was leaving! She made a shirt, brought a big ass red tutu and red feathers for my hair. As I walked in the studio she put the shirt on my head and had bobby pins in my hair before I could even read the shirt! She is so sneaky, but so awesome. Her and all the strong women at PBH are the reason I love that studio so freaking much. They make loving yourself so much fun. Thanks for always supporting me along the way ladies!! Here's to many more:
Kristine is our Pure Barre baker. She's always baking and tempting us with her delicious goodies. She made me rice krispie treats and man were they delish:
I had to stop next door and get Ed and I Boston Cremes from Donut Mania. They have the best donuts and I thought I deserved it:
Tenley had a blast at school on Wednesday. They had a Vet come talk to them and she told me all about how she told the vet how when she grows up she wants to go in the mountains and feed the wild animals. The Vet explained to her how that's not typically what a Vet does, but that some can do that. She kept telling me all these things about being a Vet and I said, "oh, did she speak to your class?" and Tenley said, "no, I made sure I raised my hand during the assembly to ask all my questions." 1.) I was so proud of her for being brave enough to ask questions in front of so many people and 2.) that poor lady... Girlfriend LOVES animals, just like her momma. She is such a sweetheart and came home with the sweetest note, too:
Ed started working at a new location this week so our schedules are totally flipped. I taught at 5:45am, 8:15am and 9:15am while Ed was on drop-off duty! It was weird, but so nice to not have to work in the evening:
Tenley brought home her latest picks from the Book Fair and the kids were so excited. We are such suckers for books:
The twin's decorated the letter 'P' with Presidents, pink and purple polka dots Friday morning:
Tenley's teacher sent me a pic of Tenley and her class making Piggie Pie on Friday:
When I picked Tenley up from school she could hardly wait to tell me she was picked for 'Pick of The Litter':
After school we went to the park for a Valentine's playdate that Lind's set up. She had cupcakes for the kids to decorate and crafts for them to take home. The weather was perfect and we had so much fun hanging with everyone:
(Thanks for having us, Linds!!)
That evening, Amy took Tenley, Rory and Alex to the movies to see 'Peter Rabbit'. It's the first time she's ever done anything without us. I wasn't nervous because it was with Amy, but I felt like I was sending her on her first date. She was so extremely excited!! I was so bummed I couldn't go since Ed was working, but Amy sent me funny texts about things the girls would say and I lived vicariously through the text messages. By the looks of it, it was a blast:
When Amy dropped her off Tenley asked for a pic of her and Amy for her 'Pick of The Litter' bulletin and my heart burst. Amy has always felt like a sister to me so having her close to us and having nights like these makes my heart so happy:
(Thanks, Aim!!)
The twins have been learning all about The Olympics at school and Everly really wanted to watch the lighting of the torch. We made some popcorn and had our own little "movie" night:
I had to teach a triple Saturday morning; which meant I had to miss cheer and dance. That's when I get serious mom-guilt, but then I look at these women and say, "ok, they came here for you...don't disappoint!" They're so amazing that it eases the mom-guilt a little bit:
I wanted to do something fun to make up for missing out in the morning so we took the kids to CNA to skate; which is always so much fun:
Wes wanted to race to the other end and was so proud of himself when he made it there:
After ice skating we went and looked at bedding for the twins because they desperately need upgraded from their cribs! On the way home, Ev told us how she wanted her own room so she can sleep peacefully like an angel and snore in her very own room (she snores and Wes will scream and keep her up so he falls asleep first because he hates the snoring... #twinlife). Apparently, this is how a peaceful, snoring angel sleeps:
The kids picked out their school Valentine's Sunday morning-- can you guess who's who?
(Tenley - Everly - Wesley)
Ed and I both had some work to do Sunday morning, with the help of the kids, of course:
Sunday evening we had a much needed date night at the VGK game! It was our early Valentine's Day celebration and there's honestly no other gift I'd want...well except a freaking WIN!! Despite losing we had so much fun cheering, seeing Amy and Carll and eating soft pretzels. Win or lose it's always a guaranteed good time:
Until next week! :)
