We spent Monday getting ready for the Twin's Valentines Party. That evening Tenley packed a lunch for her school's 'Two Lunch Tuesday' and was so excited to pack it all by herself. I always write notes or draw pictures on Tenley's sandwich bags and she melted my heart when she wrote "God Bless You" on this stranger's lunch:
On Tuesday, Tenley passed her 30 Units of Sight Word Phrases and is now on to First Grade Sight Words! Girlfriend loves reading our bedtime stories and practicing sight words before bed. I'm so happy I get to be at school to see how proud she is when her hard work pays off:
I was so proud of her that I rushed to Barnes & Noble before picking up the twins to get her a little treat. 'Pete The Cat' books are her fav! We find her reading in bed with her flashlight on past 10pm and she's alway reading 'Pete The Cat'. Alex got her hooked on the 'Owl Diaries' series. Those are a little more advanced so we read them together; which is great because I love hearing her giggle at all the jokes! So of course, I found some new 'Pete the Cat' books, the final book to her 'Owl Diaries' collection and her favorite things- SMENCILS:
Everly and Wesley had so much fun at their Valentine's Party and couldn't wait to go through all of their goodies when we got home:
All that candy had Ev being silly and I caught her trying to drive her dolls ice cream truck:
Wes is on week 7 of 8 in his Snowplow Sam #1 class at City National Arena. He loves it and we're really impressed! He's skating without his cone so well...slow, but well:
This week, they're teaching him to "swizzle" and he got moved up to Snowplow Sam #2:
Ice Skating always exhausts the kids and Wes was out before we even made it home:
I woke up Valentine's morning to hot coffee and roses...talk about an amazing wake-up call:
Since Ed's been home in the morning, I was able to get my shake in early with some of my favorite gals:
Tenley brought home her school journal and it had me cracking up:
Wes has been on a Skittles diet since Valentine's Day:
The kid's had Thursday and Friday off for President's Day and we all got to sleep in Friday morning:
I took Empower Saturday morning, then taught 3 classes. We're doing a 'Not So Winter Winter Games' challenge and I'm on the red team. We were reppin' red hard at the barre on Saturday:
In between my 2nd and 3rd class I ran to Gymcats to watch the girls, then we had lunch at Ev's favorite place- Rachel's Kitchen:
We went to CNA to watch the Golden Knights practice, then skate Sunday morning. Unfortunately the Golden Knights weren't there, but we got in some ice time and Wes made some friends:
After skating, we went to buy big kid bedding for Ev and Wes' new bunk bed (I know, I know... not happy about it either...). Ev couldn't hang any longer and was out:
Her nap made her super talkative when we got home:
Tenley has been wanting to re-do her room, but we're lazy and I love her gold polka dot comforter. So we let her pic out new sheets that conveniently matched the walls instead. She also wanted a board to hang her favorite pictures and art on. I love how she decorated it:
Until next time! :)
