Tenley had a slight fever and wasn't quite herself Monday morning so I kept her home from school. We did some crafts and had to play school, of course. The kids painted pictures and Ev was extremely proud of hers:
Luckily, Tenley was feeling much better Tuesday morning:
She hadn't been fever-free for 24 hours though, so I kept her home again on Tuesday. She wasn't happy about missing school, but I was excited to drop the twins off and spend some alone time with my girl. I was telling Ed that I don't think I've ever had alone time with Tenley before so I was really excited about it. She had money from doing so well in school and got to pick what we did. She chose shopping... duh! Target to buy a 'Pikmi Pop' and brother and sister a toy, then wanted to go her favorite store-- Justice, and get lemonade from Wetzel's Pretzels. I couldn't get over how grown she looked:
The twins learned about the letter 'K' at school and were stoked about these paper kites they made:
Tenley bought Wes a Grossery Gang and Mineez and I bought Ev a L.O.L. Pearl Surprise. They're super hard to find and pricey so I didn't let Tenley pay for that, even though she really wanted to buy Ev a gift, too. When we picked them up from school she told them she had surprises for them and made them close their eyes:
These things are 30 bucks and quite impressive actually! They come with a big sister and little sister, plus it's practically a science experiment:
I loved spending the day with my oldest gal. She's so funny, kind and smart! It was like hanging with a mini-friend:
Tenley was back to normal Wednesday and SO happy to be back to school. We got a package from Grammy and Pop-Pop in the mail and it was the hard to find rose gold minnie ears!! She found them at Disney World and Tenley was so excited that she wore hers the rest of the night. She wore them while doing her homework and had me cracking up at her sight word sentences. She had to use the words 'so' and 'did' in sentences and wrote, "I'm so fansey!" and "Did you steel the cup cake?!":
We sent daddy pics in our ears begging for a trip to Disneyland soon:
The day was good, but never ending! From teaching in the morning to the daily duties of being a mom to refereeing the twin's fights and tantrums-- I was exhausted. No matter how tired I am though, I love reading before bedtime. We all piled in Ev's bottom bunk and read 'Owl Diaries' while cracking up together:
Ed got home from work and snuck in while I was tucking Tenley in. When I walked into our bedroom I saw this pretty little box on our bed. Whoever said diamonds are a girl's best friend has never met me. Give me all the animals and Lululemon, pleaseeeee:
Thursday was International Women's Day and we celebrated at work with a special Lady Gaga playlist; which was the perfect way to start the day. I'm lucky to know so many strong women who then give me the confidence to be strong in who I am and thus share that strength with my family. These women (and many others) are my passion and I'll be forever grateful to them:
After work, I picked up the kids and we went to Caesar's Palace. They were fascinated with the fish tank and Wes was screaming, "I found Dory!!" at the top of his lungs:
Ev and I were the only ones up and at it Friday morning. I hated waking Tenley and Wes up when they were so out of it and looking like angels, too:
(Yeah, he started sleeping with a sleep mask, too.)
While the kids were at school I had some "me time" and took class. It was full of some of my favs and Cassi and I were somewhat twinning with our matching Lulu sports bras:
The weather was so beautiful that we had to stop at the park after school! Plus, T's best buddy, Kinslee, met us and made her whole day:
I taught a triple Saturday morning and couldn't wait to get home to the kids after. We spent the rest of our Saturday being lazy because I had to prepare for my Sculpted Arms Intensive on Sunday morning. Ev helped me prepare and is truly the cutest hand weight:
I had so much fun teaching the Sculpted Arms Intensive Sunday morning, but was jealous I couldn't take it-- it was amazing! The energy was high, the sweat was dripping and muscles were shaking. These ladies crushed it and their dedication to themselves is what drives me:
The kids made Gatorade popsicles with Daddy and we sat outside in our pjs enjoying them like a bunch of hillbillys that afternoon:
Until next time! :)
