I taught a triple bright and early Monday morning so Ed took Tenley to school. When I picked her up the weather was gorgeous and they insisted on playing outside:
I was finally done teaching what felt like a marathon of classes and had Tuesday off. Typically I volunteer at T's school on Tuesday, but I was coughing and had a slight fever. Ed let me sleep in until 9am and took the kids to school for me. With Ed's schedule still being weird we had Tuesday morning to ourselves while the kids were at school. It was so weird being out without them! What'd we do without them, you ask? Shop for their Easter baskets, of course, because when they're not with us they're always on our minds. Ed forgot to mention that I looked like a zombie from not feeling well:
Tenley dressed herself Tuesday and I couldn't help but notice how grown up she looked when I picked her up from school:
Speaking of looking like a grown up, Tenley brought home a picture that her teacher made of her on the 100th day of school. I was cracking up and thought it was so cute that she wrote that as a 100 year old she "will pla with my grand kis":
While we were out Easter shopping, we finally found Wes Man a VGK jersey in his size!! He was so excited to wear it to hockey and looked like a stud:
It took the kids and I over an hour to get to CNA due to traffic and we were 5 minutes late to practice. It ended up working to Wes' advantage because he got to work in a smaller group and he performs much better that way:
That evening Tenley read Ev and Wes her new AR book and it melted my heart:
We took Ev and Wes for a walk Wednesday morning before it got too windy and had such a great morning exploring and laughing with the kids:
(She insisted on this pony and it was so cute!!)
The kids were being goofballs when we were waiting to pick Tenley up. Wes loves The Beibs and has a pretty good shoulder shake down:
Tenley's handwriting has gotten so good throughout the year! I love looking at her school work:
I woke up to roses and a sweet card Thursday morning and forgot that it was March 15th-- our 15 year anniversary!! Time has flown by and it's not always easy, but it keeps getting better:
The little ones made leprechaun hats and each got green play doh with gold glitter at school and Ev was in Heaven:
That afternoon Wes got his millionth haircut like a pro:
And guess who got their FIRST hair cut? Evie Cakes!! She's been wanting a haircut, but chickens out every time. She was brave enough this time and got a teeny tiny trim. The back is all one length and now her bangs aren't in her eyes. She smiled ear-to-ear the entire time:
Here's to hoping the trim gets her some length:
Tenley got her Spring school picture back and good Lord does she look like a teenager!! Kindergarten is crazy... I swear she started as a little munchkin and is now this sweet, kind, reading, story writing, art loving machine:
I got a better pic of Ev's new bob before she took a shower:
It was nice having a few days off from teaching to get myself feeling better, but I was excited to get back into the studio bright and early on Friday for a triple:
Tenley was so excited about the leprechaun, Lucky, at school who shrunk her hat and left her candy underneath:
The weather was nice after school and the kids wanted to have homemade popsicles in the backyard. Pearly wanted some, too:
We made a janky leprechaun trap (because I'm no good at this and Daddy was working) and I died when Tenley wrote "totley safe" on the side to be tricky:
I worked Saturday morning, then we went down to Water Street for Henderson's St. Patrick's Day Parade. It was super chilly, but the kids still had so much:
The sun was shining Sunday; which means you can always find us at the park:
During "rest" time, the girls got into Tenley's makeup and came out looking... fabulous?! These girls are too much:
Until next time! :)
