My lil' diva insisted on wearing her tiara while she ate breakfast:
After breakfast, she yelled at Pearl for barking...
...but they quickly made up:
...and Tenley couldn't have been happier:
Ever since I bought Tenley her potty she has been trying to use it. On Monday she brought me to the bathroom door and I asked her if she had to use the potty and she shook her head "yes". When I opened the bathroom door she took out her potty and I took off her pants and diaper. She kept sitting and standing over and over again until she finally started to pee standing up. I hurried and put her on her potty and she even got a few drops in it:
She was so happy and I was so proud of her!! I can't believe she already kind of understands what the potty is for. Later that night, she wanted to try again and had me read her favorite potty book to her:
She didn't pee that time, but she has fun trying so we don't mind!
Tenley found a new hiding spot- the pantry:
She started to get really good at reaching the gas pedal in her Benz:
On Tuesday morning I woke up with a high fever (again), so my sweet baby made me some tea:
Although I was sick, Tenley seemed to be feeling fine and was giving Dolly a ride in her Minnie Mouse car...
...and playing with her blocks:
Later that day, Tenley quickly started to feel very sick. She was coughing and her temperature started to rise. By the time Ed got home from work she was coughing so bad that she was throwing up so we took her to Pediatric Urgent Care...
...while we were there T was so upset and crying so hard that she was throwing up all over the waiting room. Once we got back to a room they tested her for RSV and the flu. She was so upset by them sticking a q-tip in her nose that she began to vomit again (so much so that I had to get rid of my black Uggs that I was wearing). While waiting for the results she finally passed out and the doctor came in to tell us that she was negative for both tests, but he said she may have a slight ear infection and put her on an antibiotic.
The next day, Ed took off work because he had also had a fever since Sunday night. Tenley fell asleep on the couch with her Daddy...
...but when she woke up she was on FIRE! Baby girl had a temperature of 105. Ed called her pediatrician and they said we needed to take her to the ER immediately.
When we got to the ER her temperature was still blazing. The doctor said he didn't think she had an ear infection, but thought it was possible for her to have a UTI. The only way to test for a UTI is to do a catheter. So yes, my sweet baby girl was held down while the nurse did a catheter to test her urine. We tortured her for nothing because the results were negative. They gave her some Motrin and I filled her up on breast milk to calm her down. Needless to say, she was exhausted:
Since we had all been so sick we really didn't have any plans for Valentine's Day. Ed was back to work and I spent the day with my sick lil' Valentine:
Although she was still feverish she was still being silly:
I got Ed a card that gushed about how much I love him and appreciate everything he does for me, while he surprised me with these pretty flowers:
We got our lil' Valentine a bunch of books and Tinkerbell balloons:
(Chick is OBSESSED with balloons!)
Tenley opened her Valentines from Grandma & Grandpa Ditata and GiGi & Great Grandpa Ed:
(Thanks everyone!! Books are always a hit, but Tenley really loves her puppy and butterflies, too.)
T still had a high temperature on Friday so she cooled herself off:
She took her balloons everywhere with here:
We came to the realization that baby is getting her canines in addition to everything else; which explains the high temps. She chomped on a teether while watching Yo Gabba Gabba:
She did NOT want to take a bath Friday night. Poor baby just wanted to cuddle her Daddy:
After several failed nap attempts, Tenley Bear finally fell asleep in my arms:
She really likes stacking her stars:
Since T was feeling a little bit better Sunday night we let her try GiGi's famous chocolate chip cookies that she mailed to us for Valentine's Day...
...obviously she loved them!! I've never known anyone to not like Grandma Rita's famous cookies- to die for.
Until next week! :)
