The weather started to warm up this week and in an effort to get my little chick to nap for more than 30 minutes we played in the backyard for over an hour. We haven't played in the backyard in about 3 months and I was amazed at what this kid could do! She was running around, walking over the curb, pulling her wagon...we had a blast:
Later that day she decided that Dolly was hungry and started to "nurse" her:
The next day we went to Acacia Park to play some more:
On Wednesday Tenley was intent on hiding all of Pearl's toys in her wagon:
While Daddy was at school that night, Tenley made him this masterpiece...
...and I attempted to draw Mickey:
She had fun decorating her coloring book with stickers:
Tenley woke up around 4:45am on Thursday due to teething...naturally, this happened while we were running errands:
Ed surprised me with these beauties because he said I was a "good mommy":
(Thanks, Ed! Love you!!)
Tenley had fun in her princess fort:
Daddy played with Tenley:
All that pillow fun really exhausted her because she slept over 13 hours that night:
Since it was Friday, she watched Sofia the First in bed:
She is obsessed with brushing her teeth:
She got her wiggles out:
It's becoming tradition that she falls asleep on our way to breakfast every Saturday:
While at breakfast Tenley decided she wanted to eat her crayons instead of her breakfast:
Since Tenley turned 15 months old on Saturday we decided to treat her by taking her to 'Build a Bear'. Our lil' Diva picked out the pink princess bear and was beyond fascinated with the stuffing machine...
...she tried to stuff her bear herself:
...but the sound scared her so she clenched onto her Daddy:
...she picked out Princess Teddy's heart and gave her a bath:
...she also picked out a wig and a dress for her bear:
Tenley had a blast making Princess Teddy and we had a lot of fun letting her run a muck! We can't wait to take her back when she is a little bit older.
Later that night, she totally stole my heart at bathie time:
I can NOT believe my baby is already 15 months old (a quarter of the way to being 2 years old- ahhhhh)!! She is growing so fast that it is unbelievable. We started marking her growth on the wall when she was 13 months old and she was over 30 inches tall and now at 15 months old she is a little over 32 inches tall. Take a look at the marks:
Can you believe it? I just can't believe how fast she has grown. She changes everyday and just fascinates me with her wit and brains. She loves to point at everything when we're in the car and say, "dis" (this). When she is eating she loves to chuck her food on the floor for Pearl or just hold it in her hand for her to eat it our of her palm. One time I told her that it was "bad" so now while she is feeding Pearl she likes to yell, "BA!" (bad) and I can't help but just laugh at that lil' stinker. Her other most consistent words are Momma, ook (book), oggie (doggie), yeah, no, and buh-bye. It's crazy how fast time flies when you have a kid, but it sure does make everyday so much more fun!
It turns out that Tenley's gift was a big hit because when I went to cover her up I found her like this:
She had fun FaceTiming with Grammy and Gramps:
She passed out while we were grocery shopping:
She had a diaper leak close to bath time so we put her in her robe and she had so much fun in it:
She even had a little dance party in it:
Until next week! :)
