Weekly Update

The cough/cold bug seems to be biting everyone because my lil' munch woke up on Monday feeling awful. All she wanted to do was lounge on the couch and watch 'Tinkerbell and The Great Fairy Rescue':

The weather in Vegas has been crazy and I think it is to blame for everyone being so sick. I looked out our sliding glass doors and it was snowing so bad! It's hard to tell in these pics, but if you look hard enough you can see the snow collecting on Tenley's swing set stairs:

About 10 minutes later the sky was perfectly blue with not a cloud in sight and the sun was shining so brightly- no wonder my house has been taken over by this nasty bug.

Baby bear just wanted to sleep on Mommy all day:

When Daddy got home from work she watched some more Tink with him while I made Mickey Mouse Valentine cookies:

Tenley got some lovin' from Pearly:

She continued to nap on my chest:

Daddy read to Tenley...

...then resumed her position on the couch:

On Wednesday she picked up a few weird new quirks- pretending to throw up like Pearl:

...and only walking on her tippy toes while on the tile:

Tenley felt really warm Wednesday night so I took her temp and it was 100.9. Since I thought this was a fever, I freaked and called Ed at school. I gave her Tylenol, gave her a bath and put her to bed. Throughout the night I went in to feel her and she felt fine. She was scheduled for her 15 month well check the next day so we changed it to a sick visit and poor baby fell asleep on the way there:

The doc said her lungs sounded good, but recommended we give her Dimetapp to help with her cough and cold. When we got home she passed out on the couch:

That night I came down with a fever of 102.5 and my throat felt like it was closing in- it was awful! So the next morning I went to see my family doctor. Poor Tenley was feeling so sick that morning that she slept in the car and through my entire doctor's appointment. My doc said I had pharyngitis with the flu. It felt like razor blades were in my throat and like I was on fire. Since I was feeling so miserable I counted on Pearl to be my babysitter:

Tenley hung out with Ed on Saturday while I rested:

Unfortunately, this is how we watched the Superbowl on Sunday:

Ugh. What a horrible week. Thank God my husband took such good care of us! I'm looking forward to us all feeling better soon.

Until next week! :)
