Ed had Monday off for Labor Day so we spent the entire day doing fun things...
We've been wanting to go see the Big Horn Sheep in Boulder City so we decided to head there first. While driving around trying to find the right park we admired the cute houses, amazing greenery and beautiful views that Boulder City offers:
We found the park and immediately noticed the dozens of Big Horn Sheep hanging out in the shade. Tenley kept trying to run over to them and patted her leg to get them to come to her. We had a blast:
Then, we went to the outlet mall to shop the Labor Day sales. We found these awesome bear hats at the Gap outlet and had to take photos in them:
(I'm so bummed we didn't buy these for the kiddos because they were too perfect for our little bears.)
Tenley charmed her way onto free carousel rides and kept saying "ga-ga" (again) every time it stopped. She had a blast going round and round forever with Daddy:
T was pooped from our busy day and practically passed out hanging off the couch:
We had an awesome storm late Monday afternoon and took advantage of the cold weather and clouds by going to the park after it passed:
Tenley read books in bed Tuesday morning:
I babysat Isla for a little and the girls were so good and had so much fun together, as usual:
Tenley danced to her favorite scene in Despicable Me and it was too freakin' cute. I could watch this video over and over again:
Tuesday was Ed's birthday and he said the only thing he wanted to do was get ice cream. Last year, I bought him some nice gifts and he returned them because he said he didn't need anything. He seriously never does anything for himself or lets anyone do anything for him. This year I listened to his birthday wish and we had a great relaxing night as a family. We went to Town Square, ate ice cream in the grass, and played at the park:
Tenley gave Daddy lots of birthday kisses at bath time:
(Happy Birthday, Ed!! Thanks for being an absolutely amazing husband and the father to Tenley that I only believed existed in fairytales. I don't know what we'd do without you. We love you!!)
We met the Rice girls at Grouchy Johns for coffee and muffins, then headed to the park across the street. The girls were obsessed with the small double slides and cheered each other on if one got down faster:
Tenley Bear and I spent Thursday morning at the park. She was fearless at the big kid playground and loved learning how to play hopscotch:
We spent Thursday evening at the Venturinos. The girls sat in their chairs, while eating snacks and jibber-jabbering back and forth. They also had fun watching the chickens, while I rocked Alena to sleep:
(There is absolutely nothing like rocking a squishy little babe to sleep!)
We met the Venturino and Rice girls at Grouchy John's (again, I know!) and took the girls to the park. We all had such a blast and I could honestly hang out with these girls (and their mommas) everyday. They are just so stinkin' cute...they're ridiculous:
I bought the twins bedding online and didn't end up liking it when it came so I sent it back. My sweet in-laws insisted on buying the twins their crib bedding since they bought Tenley hers so we went to Pottery Barn Kids to see what they had and picked these ones (thanks so much!!):
(Fun Fact: if your expecting twins or have twins, you get a "multiples discount" of 10% on every purchase there. I'm starting to find out about all these twin perks...it's awesome!)
My mom sent me a package full of goodies...everything from maternity shirts to loads of adorable baby clothes. Here are a few of the cute clothes Wes got:
(Thanks, Mom!!)
Saturday marked 20 weeks of being pregnant with twins. I'm feeling huge and it is getting really hard to do a lot...it's hard to believe that I'm already halfway (or less) done:
The sky was full of clouds so we spent the morning at the park where I showed off my belly:
Later that night we headed back to the park and played soccer:
(Seriously...we live at the park!)
Tenley has become obsessed with brushing her teeth and stole my toothbrush while Ed was brushing his teeth:
I was exhausted on Sunday and so was my pregnant husband so Ed and I laid on the couch and dozed off during the disappointing Steelers game, while T played in her playroom:
Lazy Sundays with football are my favorite days!
Until next week! :)
