I must apologize in advance for the lack of pictures this week. After our busy week last week and how crappy I've been feeling, I just haven't had the energy to be "fun".
We started off Monday by being bums around the house. Tenley played with her puzzles, while I lounged on the couch:
Then, we met the Rices at Hidden Falls Park and Mason taught the girls how to roll down the hills:
I received this beautiful gem in the mail from Chelsea:
(Thanks lover!!)
Tenley's new favorite thing to do is to climb onto the toilet and flush it a million times. I couldn't find her anywhere, then I heard our toilet and walked into the bathroom to find this trouble maker:
We had our bi-weekly appointment with Dr. Adashek for a normal office visit and a ultrasound for measurements. During the babies ultrasound the tech kept saying, "oh you two don't realize you're twins yet!" The babies are growing at such a rapid pace that Ev weighs 3lbs 3oz and is in the 60th percentile and Wes weighs 3lbs 6 oz and is in the 68th percentile for SINGLETONS. These babies just don't realize that they are running out of room, yet. For the first time, Wes was being the ham and Ev was being shy so we only got to see his sweet little face:
While Ed and I were at the doctors, Tenley had fun playing with Isla and cuddling with Mason:
(Thanks for babysitting guys!!)
Tenley didn't seem to be feeling well Wednesday morning, but I didn't know if something was wrong or if she was just being a cranky butt. We had already scheduled to go for a trial gymnastics class at Gymcats with Linds and Isla, so I decided to see if getting out of the house would cheer her up. When we got there I got T out of the car and locked the keys (and everything else) in my car. Luckily, Lindsay's dad was there and called Triple A for me while we were in class. Tenley had a blast for about 20 minutes, then she wanted snacks and a drink and they were both locked in my car; which led to the biggest break down I've ever seen her have. She cried for the next 40 minutes and kept taking me to the car cause she wanted to go. Poor thing had the biggest tears in her eyes and just kept crying for her bubba; which was also locked in the car. I felt like the world's worst mom. It was horrible. Anyways, here are some pics that Linds took when Tenley was actually enjoying the class:
(After this picture I got stuck in the foam pit...turns out they're not for pregnant chicks! Linds was too busy laughing at me to take a picture!)
When Triple A showed up (thanks again, Lou!!) Tenley was beyond excited to sit in her car seat with her juice, crackers and Wreck It Ralph on the iPad. Since she had calmed down and was happy again, we quickly went to the grocery store to get stuff to make chili. Tenley fell asleep on the way home and even let me take off her boots and jacket and lay her into bed without even flinching. This NEVER happens so the poor thing must've been feeling sick:
After over a 3 hour nap, she woke up with a horrible cough and was so out of it. Poor thing cried so badly during her bath because she was so tired. She just wanted Daddy to cuddle her:
We spent all of Thursday being total bums:
Ed made it home from school just in time to give Tenley a kiss goodnight. After putting Tenley to bed we couldn't find Pearl anywhere. We looked all over the place and I finally thought to look on Tenley's video monitor. Sure enough, we must've shut Pearl in T's room and she made herself right at home on T's bed:
All of Tenley's energy came back Friday morning like a slap in the face. I mean, I could not get her to sit still at all (not even for the iPad). She was constantly on the move and gave Pearl and I check-ups all morning:
That afternoon Francesca came over with a treat for me the babies- mint Oreos. It was my first time trying them and woo-wee. Thanks for introducing me to the devil, Fran! ;)
We decided to take T to the mall that night so she could run around inside to get some energy out. While we were there Tenley gravitated towards all the Christmas decorations:
When we got home Tenley dropped the iPad while Ed was carrying her into the house. The far fall really demolished her beloved iPad:
Of course, Ed felt horrible and being the hero he is, he went to the Forum Shops that night to have it replaced so she'd have it in the morning.
For the first time in a longgg time, T woke up early and wanted to come snuggle in our bed. My snuggle bugs slept in and I even had to wake them up since we had a trial soccer class in Summerlin:
We made it to soccer practice right on time, but as soon as we got there we knew T wasn't going to be ready for the class they put her in. They put her in a class with kids who were older and they had the kids sitting in a circle talking and following stretch instructions. Anyone who knows Tenley knows that she's not one to follow instructions (unless maybe they're from Grandpa). Guess we'll have to try it next year because all our little munch wanted to do was run around with the soccer balls and climb on the inflatable dividers:
That night we went to Target and Tenley had to bring all of her friends:
Ed took T to Lowe's while I rested on Sunday and she was obsessed with all the Christmas decorations:
(I can't wait to decorate for Christmasssss!!)
Tenley took a long nap and woke up in need of hugs from Pearl:
We went to Babies R Us to get some things for the twins and Tenley had to go for 2387092850938 rides on the Big Bird car:
Until next week! :)
