Not to rub it in my family's faces, but our forecast for the week was b-e-a-utiful (unlike Ohio):
In honor of all the sun headed our way, Tenley made the suncatcher that her great Aunt Donna sent her. She had so much fun "payin" (painting):
(Thanks, Aunt Donna!)
Tenley and I played Daddy's Memory game from when he was a kid while the littles exercised on their play mat:
(Notice that Ev lost all the hair on the top of her head?)
Tenley rocked the babies to sleep:
I finally caught Evie rolling over:
Ev and Wes looked adorable while hanging out on their boppies:
Now that we've got somewhat of a routine down, we decided to give potty training a try. Ed read Tenley books while she sat on the potty. After what seemed like forever she yelled, "I DID IT!!" and started clapping:
I continued potty training with Tenley on Tuesday; which didn't go as well since I put her in big girl panties. She peed in them twice. Maybe she thought it was the same as a diaper? Either way, she looked adorable in them:
Ev was happy to see Daddy when he came home from work:
The babies were up every 1-2 hours Tuesday night; which made me think they were going through a growth spurt. When they woke up cranky Wednesday morning I knew I had a long day ahead of me; which brought potty training to a hault. Nothing made the babies happy (except nursing):
Tenley tried to cheer up Evie:
I gave Tenley an early Valentine's Day gift- TinkerBell heels - to entertain her for a bit while I rocked the babies to sleep:
The babies took a quick cat nap and the cookie fairy dropped off thin mints- the perfect treat for a rough day:
(Thanks, Sofia!!)
The babies had their 1 month well-check and they were so good (and healthy!):
The babies got in some exercise after their appointment:
Linds and Isla came over to play Thursday morning. The babes slept and played on their play mat while the girls made Valentines for their Daddy's, dressed up and played hide and seek:
Sam finally moved back from Seattle so we celebrated with some wine and thin mints. Tenley didn't have wine, of course, but she did devour some thin mints:
The kids were dressed in red and pink on Friday for Valentine's day:
(How cute is he in Tenley's Valentine jammies?! Can't believe he actually pulled off size 3-6 months!)
Since the weather was beautiful, I ventured out of the house for the first time without Ed. Luckily, Linds and Crystal met us at the park and helped keep an eye on crazy T. Tenley was running around like crazy since she hasn't been to the park in such a long time. She had an absolute blast with Isla, Addy and Dawson:
To celebrate Valentine's Day we just wanted to hang out at home as a family. I got Ed a canvas of him and Tenley; which didn't arrive in time, and he got me a lifestyle photo session with Maryann Russell Photography. We got lots of cards and had a fabulous dinner- cheeseburgers and sweet potato fries with root beer (at the kids table, of course):
We spent the night playing with the kiddos and relaxing. According to my standards, it was absolutely perfect:
We had our lifestlye session with Maryann Saturday morning and Evie was exhausted after all the pictures:
Tenley got a Princess Anna dress from Daddy for Valentine's Day and she loved it:
We played outside on the swing set and Tenley got around on it like a boss:
The babies played for a bit before bath time:
My brother, Ray, turns 30 next Tuesday and had a party to celebrate. My Aunt Donna sent me pics from the party so I felt included and I was so happy she did because I loved seeing them all. It especially warmed my heart to see my mom's big smile and my Dad loving on my niece and nephew. It made me so sad to not be there, but so happy to see them all so happy:
(Miss and love you all SO much!! Happy early birthday, Ray-Ray!!)
Wes looked frickin' adorable while dominating tummy time Sunday morning:
(THOSE LIPS!! THOSE CHEEKS!! I mean...)
We FaceTimed with Grammy and Pop-Pop and Tenley was really into all the snow in their backyard:
We got dressed and went to the Downtown Container Park to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out it is as awesome as everyone says. You totally feel like you're in another state. Tenley loved the massive Legos and kid/adult playground:
Tenley only played for about an hour because she was crying about having to poop (remember how she was "constipated" last week?).
Well, it turns out that Tenley isn't constipated. Instead she is just holding in her bowel movements. She is literally full of shit, that one. Every time she feels it coming she cries and pinches her butt cheeks together:
It's horrible. Here's to hoping the shit doesn't hit the fan next week! ;)
