We spent our Monday morning outside getting some fresh air:
When Ed got home from work we hung out and "fished" in the living room:
Wes and Tenley woke up extremely early Tuesday morning and although I wasn't as chipper as them, I loved watching them play together:
Evie finally woke up and joined the party. She partied so hard on her play mat that she rolled herself into a burrito:
The twins hung out in their Rock 'n Plays and I couldn't help but feel nostalgic and think about how big they looked. I mean, take a look at this current picture and one from when they were just a few days old:
(Why do they have to grow?!?!?!!!!!)
The babies did tummy time with Purr:
Tenley played "hop-i-gotchi" (hopscotch):
Tenley wanted to stay in the shower longer to splash around and insisted I "take picky-tures, mom mee!"
My breakfast Wednesday morning consisted of Evie's piggies:
Princess Tenley worked on her pose while Wes dosed off:
Ed watched the kiddos while I got my nails done and went to Costco, where I treated myself to a pretty bouquet of flowers:
Tenley received some new nightgowns from Grammy and Pop-Pop in the mail and she was so excited to wear the Ariel one to bed:
(Thanks, Grammy and Pop-Pop!!)
My mom, Grammy, Aunt Julie and Rachel had been planning a trip to Vegas since the twins were born so when the day finally came we were all giddy with excitement:
The day had finally come...they were all going to meet the twins for the first time and Tenley was really looking forward to seeing them again. As soon as Tenley heard them knock on the door Tenley started jumping up and down and waving out the window. As soon as I opened the door, she was squealing with excitement and everyone was crying. It was a scene I will never forget:
Tenley has had this God awful rat tail forever now, but Ed refused to let me get her hair cut. I finally convinced him to let my Aunt Julie cut her hair, even though he was still uneasy about it (pretty much breathing down her neck...it was intense). I for sure thought we would have to drug Tenley to get her to sit still, but my Aunt brought Tenley this magnetic bear set and she was absolutely fascinated with it and sat still for the entire haircut! After Ed nearly crying, we finally said goodbye to the rat tail and hello to one adorable bob:
(Thanks for the haircut, Aunt Julie! You know that's all I'll be hearing about for awhile!)
We went to Sunset Station's pool Friday morning for some fun in the sun and the kids had a blast playing in the pool with everyone:
Later that afternoon we took my fam to one of our favorite spots- Town Square. We got an updated 4 generations picture of all the girls and a great group shot of the whole crew before Tenley ran off to play while the rest of us melted in the heat:
Every morning when the babies wake up Tenley shouts, "Na monkey, Eh! Na monkey, Wes! (Good morning, Ev! Good Morning, Wes!)" and she loves to help carry them out into the living room:
Ed was cuddling the babes Saturday morning and, again, I couldn't get over how big they've gotten (they are two weeks old in the second picture):
My little Evie looked so cute in one of her new head wraps:
Great Grammy So-Vay (as Tenley calls her) is the Pierogi Queen in our family so it was only fitting that we had a pierogi day while she was in town. And what better day to wear the shirts from the Polish Deli that she got them, right? Even Grammy's littlest pierogies were excited to make pierogies with Grammy for the first time:
I guess I should say that over the years of me being pregnant all the time Ed has really became the pierogi maker in our family and he is really good at it! So Grammy, Tenley and Ed made everyone pierogies Saturday afternoon and Tenley took her "pinching" duty very seriously:
(What a GREAT memory!!)
The rest of the day was spent relaxing and eating, of course:
(Frozen bananas for the first time!!)
We had a "girl's night" at The Linq Saturday night and it was so nice to just relax, walk around, eat ice cream and talk with some of my favorite gals:
The babies turned 5 months old on Sunday!
We went to Sunset Station's pool again and Tenley had a blast playing with Ed in the pool (except for when he threw her in the water) and the babies were so pooped afterwards (and so were we!):
(I'm such a faker...just holding this big 'ol drink!)
(I've never understood what people meant when they said Tenley looked like Ed, but good Lord!!!! She is her Daddy's twin!!)
That night my Aunt's friend gave her tickets to 'Raiding the Rock Vault'; which was a blast! Totally had high school flashbacks with all the Journey and Whitesnake music and we all kind of fell in love with the guitarist from Whitesnake, Doug Aldrich. It was fun to see my mom get down and get all giddy, she's the cutest. We had a blast laughing and my cousin and I got taken on stage at the end; which was the icing on the cake to the perfect night out:
What a fun week it's been with my family so far!! More to come...
Until next week! :)
