Weekly Update

Wes woke up in a jolly good mood Monday morning:

Tenley showed the babies her Little People Princess Castle (but wouldn't let them touch, of course):

I made the babies homemade peas and jarred them in old Earth's Best glass jars to freeze:

Evie absolutely hated the peas, but Wes ate them all up:

The kids played together so nicely (until they didn't):

(Poor Wes...she's always beating him up!)

I had some alone time to get my nails done:

The babes gave peas another chance and this time Ev liked them and Wes didn't...weird:

Tenley let Wes and Ev play with her Little People Princess Castle and this time she even let them hold the Princesses:

Later that night, I fed the babies rice cereal one more time in a desperate attempt to get Wesley to sleep for more than 2 hours at a time and they really seemed to like it this time:

Unfortunately, it did nothing for Wes. He was still up at 10pm and for some reason my angel, Evie, who always sleeps like a rock was up at 4:30am! Wes was quick to follow and woke up at 5:15am. Looks like we'll just stick to fruits and veggies since both babies (and mommy) were down for their first nap by 6:15am:

After our early naps, everyone was up and in good moods, especially Ev since she was getting neck kissies:

Tenley kept climbing in Ev's Rock 'N Play and saying, "Sissy lay with me, mom-mee. We wock 'n Pway!" The way they love each other just melts my heart:

While folding laundry with the twins in the living room, I heard Tenley making noise in the kitchen so I went to check on her and found her doing this:
(My all time favorite video.)

The babes patiently waited for big sissy to get ready for the park:

Wes even let me take a good picture of his two new choppers:

We met Linds and Isla at Hidden Falls Park and the weather could not have been more perfect. The clouds were blocking the sun so the babies were able to sleep in the stroller, while the girls had a blast, per usual:

Evie hung out in sissy's denim vest:

Ed was working overtime all week; which meant if we ran errands together after work the whole night would be a frickin' circus so I decided to step up my game and take the kids to Target for a few small items and Petsmart to get Pearl food. Surprisingly, it was pretty easy to do since I was able to use 1 Ergo and my stroller:

The errands really wore Everly out:

The twins woke up early and ready to play Saturday morning:

Usually Ed will go get Tenley when she wakes up on the weekends so when he didn't come in her room Saturday morning she was pissedddd. She didn't like when I told her he had to work again and she refused to get out of bed..."No dad-dee wakey me uppy!! No worky for dad-dee. I miss dad-dee. I stay in bed mom-mee." Such a drama queen, this girl:

She got over it once she heard the babies and came out in the living room and immediately started playing peek-a-boo with Ev:

Saturdays without Ed are B-O-R-I-N-G so I decided I was going to conquer the grocery store by myself so we had one less thing to do when Ed got off work. I had to take a picture of the kids before we left to document the occasion, of course:

The outing went quite well. I wore Evie in the Ergo, Tenley and Princess Teddy sat in the seat, while Wes slept in his car seat in the cart the entire time. I had to squeeze my groceries around Wes' car seat, then when I ran out of room in the cart I had to start piling the groceries underneath the cart. All and all, it was a good trip:

Wes' teeth were bothering him Saturday night and the only way he would fall asleep was alone in our bed:

Alena's first birthday party was Sunday morning, so we started getting ready early. Tenley got ready with daddy, while I got the twins ready:

I have been super jealous of the pic I took of Ed and the kids on Father's Day so since we were all up and ready I got a pic with all of the kids:

It was finally time to celebrate Alena! I remember rushing over to be present for her birth and seeing her very first breath. I just can't believe sweet little Alena is already 1! I love this family and we had so much fun celebrating Alena's first birthday:

(Happy birthday, Alena!! We love you!!)

I guess the babes just needed to warm up to the idea of peas because they both enjoyed their peas Sunday night:

Until next week! :)
