Tenley's First Dance Recital: {Around The World}

We took a trip 'Around The World' for Tenley's first dance recital and we were blow away with Astudia's presentation. The programs were passports for their "trip" and it was exciting to see all of the kid's names under their act. Tenley and Isla's ads were right next to each other in the program; which was prefect:

The 'Sunshine Day' girls were Act 12 and the theatre was pitch black as we faintly saw their neon yellow tutus waddle out onto the stage. This was the part Tenley was most nervous for because she is scared of the dark, but she did it! When the song and lights came on it was show time and she did great! I couldn't help but smile so hard the entire time that my cheeks hurt. They were just the cutest:

(Ed had to take the twins for a walk after intermission and while they were walking he found the photographer who got these close-ups of Tenley so, of course, he bought them! He's a sucker.)

During intermission we went to get Tenley and give her flowers. She was beyond excited about all the flowers she received. When we handed her the "pink Aurora roses" she said, "Thank you, mommy! Thank you so much! I love dem!" She also got flowers from the Rices and Okashiges so she felt extremely special; it was the sweetest:

We watched the rest of the show and Tenley loved it. She kept saying, "this is sooooo good!" She couldn't wait to go back on stage for the 'Viva Las Vegas' finale. She ran up on stage and danced right behind her teacher, Ms. Cherity. Then, she sat and watched them give the teachers gifts and was so proud of herself for getting a plane trophy for going 'Around The World':

This was such a big night for Tenley and I was so nervous for her all day, but she did so well. We would've been proud of her for walking on stage and standing there, but she walked up there, did her dance and shined! I was also blown away by how well Isla did, too. Tenley's once most shy friend just busting out all the moves! This group of girls is just the sweetest and will always have a special place in my heart.

We are so proud of you, Tenley...you were born to SPARKLE, babe!
