We had the laziest Labor Day ever. The only thing we did was go to the mall to buy the kiddos some new socks since T's been wearing tennis shoes to school recently. Of course the three musketeers couldn't leave without making wishes to see their grandparents. Tenley begins naming everyone she wishes to see (literally everyoneeee), but Wes just chants "Pop Pop" because he's Pop Pop's boy. Then, we had to get the kids Wetzel's Pretzels to keep them awake on the way home:
We were drawing fairies Tuesday morning when Tenley got a boo-boo:
(This is one for her graduation slide show!)
The babes began holding hands as they walk to their room at night and it totally melts my heart. Wessie Boy even tries to give Evie a kiss, too, but she climbs into her bed too fast (she seriously loves to get into it at night time!):
Tenley presented her 'All About Me' to her class on Wednesday. She was a little nervous since her best friend, Addy, was out of town. I told her that she was going to do great anyways and that everyone else wanted to learn more about her since they weren't in her class last year like Addy was and by telling them about herself they could grow to be better friends. It made her a little more excited about it:
While Tenley was at school we played in the backyard. The twins had fun on the swings and played in the rocks forever. I love having some alone time with them because they can form their own opinions on things. Tenley would never play with rocks because they're dirty, but Wes and Ev loved it. Maybe they can convince T that it's actually a good time! We had fun watching them play so nicely together:
When I picked Tenley up from school Miss Marsha said she did great presenting her 'All About Me' to the class! And Tenley told me how they're learning about the letter 'T' and Miss Linda brought in her pet turtles. She was so excited, but would not stop talking about how she was disappointed that she wasn't allowed to touch them. I could just see her trying to touch them every 10 seconds:
Later that afternoon we took the kids to Town Square, but only lasted for about 30 minutes because we nearly melted. Before leaving the kids insisted on making more wishes to see their "grandparents in Ohio":
I've been trying to wean the twins, but they are not taking to it well, at all. My sweet, quiet, reserved Evie who never makes a peep was acting like she was dying when I tried to deny her milk in the morning. After 55 minutes of what looked like small seizures, I gave in and decided maybe she just isn't ready:
We had a little more success during nap time when we were able to get the twins to sleep in the cribs by sitting next to their toddler beds and rubbing their heads until they fell asleep:
Thursday was the Steelers first football game of the season. Although we lost to the Patriots, the girls we still really excited about watching football, while Wes was pretty stoked about his new superhero blanket:
Tenley learned about 'Friends' at school on Friday and made an adorable Friendship Flower:
Tenley started to come down with a cold on Friday so we had to skip dance Saturday morning in exchange for being super lazy:
Although she wasn't feeling good she still looked so beautiful and was still her silly self:
I woke up with a sore throat Sunday morning and instantly started drinking throat coat:
Since I wasn't feeling too good, Ed went to Costco during nap time and I napped on the couch with Ev while Wes and Tenley were in their beds:
Ev and Wes played in the Huggies box together, then Evie thought it would be fun to cover Wes with the wipes:
The kids pretended to paint pictures on their "easel":
Not only did Ed go to the store since I wasn't feeling well, but he also made such a delicious dinner for us. Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo Stuffed Shells- soooo good (him & the shells!!):
Ev literally sat at the table long after I was done doing all the dishes because girlfriend ate 3 whole shells...little piggy was so happy after dinner:
Until next time! :)
