Tenley was learning about the letter 'H' at school this week and her Hair must've known because it was sooo BIG on Monday that I just had to snap a picture of her before I sent her off to school:
She came home with a craft of a Hippo wearing a Hat:
On the front it looks like typical cutting, gluing and finger painting, but when you flip it over you'll notice the capital and lowercase letters that she traced underneath the picture:
Tenley has had her mind made on her Halloween costume since I can remember so we went to the Disney store to let the twins pick out their costumes. Wes picked out Peter Pan so we kind of convinced Ev to be TinkerBell. When we got home they insisted on putting their costumes on again and they looked so cute:
(I can not wait to take Sleeping Beauty, TinkerBell and Peter Pan to Disneyland for Mickey's Halloween Party!!)
The kids were up bright and early Tuesday morning to go buy 'Cinderella' and couldn't get out the door fast enough:
To celebrate the release of my favorite princess movie, 'Cinderella', we had a movie night and made homemade pizza with the kids while we watched 'Frozen Fever' a million times and watched Cinderella's pink dress transform to blue a million times while Wes chanted, "BO, BO, BOO!!" (bippity, boppity, boo!!):
Wednesday was "Hat Day" at school and Tenley was pretty excited for the hat parade at school:
The girls goofed off in their shades that afternoon:
Ed has been speaking in the 'Bat Dad' voice for about a week straight now and Tenley has picked up on it, too. She was being so silly at dinner time that while I was doing the dishes she picked up Wes' pirate sword and said, "you better eat your dinner!" in her Bat Dad voice. We were dying:
The weather is starting to cool off here in Vegas and by cool off I mean, it's in the 90's in the morning. Since the weather was gorgeous Friday morning we decided to walk Tenley to school:
Once we strolled through the drop-off, we headed toward the bottom of the mountains and ran the steep hills that line the back of the neighborhoods and took turns running up to the water tower. If you live by me and know what I'm talking about, you know my buns were burning (especially pushing the twins). The twins loved getting all that fresh air, we loved the scenery and had such a peaceful workout. We're definitely making this a weekly thing:
After over an hour and a half of working out we went home to shower quickly, then I swung by to pick Tenley up from school. In addition to the letter ' H', they learned about shapes and she made this fun 'Mr. Shapes' character:
After the twins napped we made this fun little wooden peg family from Seedling. I totally think Tenley is going to be a fashion designer when she grows up. While designing the peg people she was designing a dress and kept saying, "I gotta put purple on this blue and sell this to the retailers." I mean, where does she get this from? Maybe she was CoCo Chanel in her past life. She had so much fun "styling" them:
I definitely know where she gets her taste from- her momma. You know you gotta a problem when you get a hand written letter from the Freshly Picked team in the mail:
(Love them so much!)
Tenley put her baby Ariel's blanket on Wes like a scarf and he wouldn't let anyone take it off. He wore it around the house all day, with a big smile none the less:
The twins woke me up bright and early Saturday morning and wanted their 'Frozen Fever' fix:
Tenley took my phone and took pictures of us:
(Ed's face kills me!)
Tenley doesn't start dance until 10am on Saturday now so, of course, she was ready to go at 8am:
Tenley looked like she was 13 before heading off to dance so I tried snapping a picture of her, but it wasn't happening. She was all over the place...so graceful and ladylike, too:
Since the kids have been sick it has been awhile since Tenley and Isla have seen each other. They wouldn't stop talking and giggling so their teacher had to separate them. Tenley was pissed and began pouting, we thought it was hilarious. She got over it and got back to dancing once they were moving around and she was joined with her partner-in-crime again:
Ed stayed home with the twins and as soon as we got home I heard Evie crying. I just assumed she was crying because she was ready for her nap. I tried to change her diaper, but I couldn't get her to calm down or sit still enough to change her. Then, she started to get so unconsolable and began to arch her back and scream in pain. I've never seen her like that before. She was so stiff that we were worried she was going to break her bones. She was starring off and not responding to us or anything we did. After 20 minutes of it I taped her to send it to Lindsay to see what she thought and while taping it I immediately began to think of a video I saw of a little girl who got bit by a scorpion. Even if not, she looked like she was in so much pain:
Ed somehow got her strapped in her car seat and I took her to the ER. Of course as soon as I got there she began to calm down so the nurses thought I was crazy and said things like, "kids just have off days, sweetie..." umm sorry, but I have two terrors at home and this little girl is a saint and this is no off day for her! An off day for her is sneezing and farting at the same time. Once they started to check her out, give her a catheter to check for a bladder infection and realized that all of that didn't even get a rise out of her they started to change their tune..."well, she may have gotten stung by a scorpion that wasn't as venomous. Bring her back in if she continues to do this." Bunch of crock...my poor baby.
Only baby who smiles after a catheter:
We had a lazy Saturday afternoon after that, to say the least. Sunday morning I took Tenley grocery shopping with me and she is obsessed with the Halloween aisle at Vons and asked me to take a picture of her and the witch to show Daddy:
While Evie and Ed rested the kids and I watched the Steelers whoop on the 49ers (take that, Uncle Mike!):
The kids had a dance party and read books before bed with Daddy:
More on Evie to come...
