Unfortunately Ed finished up his work at Top Golf Las Vegas and is now in that blah transitional period until his new job starts up. Unfortunate for him, lucky for the kids and I. We started our day by dropping Tenley off at school, then taking the twins to the "bark". To keep active, Ed and I did yoga in between pushing the kids on the swings, running stairs, running suicides on the basketball court, etc. It was a win-win morning because the kids had a blast AND we totally worked up a sweat in the process:
Remember how bad Ev's head was on Saturday (two days ago)? Look how much better it is after two days of lavender essential oil:
This week at school, Tenley is learning all about the letter 'U'. They practiced tracing the letter, then had an umbrella parade outside and, of course, T had to have a pink umbrella:
They also did some coloring; which had me cracking up. Tenley talked about the myth of catching a leprachaun ALL day and how she wrote her two wishes for him at school: 1.) two babies and 2.) more heels:
(If you look closely you'll see the boy/girl twins; which she named Tad and Rosie.)
Ev napped for nearly 4 hours that afternoon and I actually had to wake her up:
The twins were up super early on Tuesday, no surprise there! At least they were smiling:
Since Ed had the week off, I decided to use my Groupon for Pure Barre that I bought almost a month ago and dangggggg!! It hurt so good and I am so obsessed now. I could not wait to snuggle up to the kids at nap time. Good thing Ev has been my snuggle buddy this week:
Tenley had her school Easter Egg Hunt on Wednesday and had so much fun! They made their bunny bags for the Easter egg hunt and filled it with lots of goodies:
The kids were really excited for Tenley's basketball practice Wednesday night. The team worked on their dribbling and shooting skills. Then we finished the night with some play time at the park:
Wednesday, March 15th, marked 13 years together for Ed and I. We were reminiscing all day and I came across our first picture together. We officially met after a basketball game in January and quickly started "talking". In February, we both planned on going to CMHS' 2003 Sweetheart dance with other dates and joked about ditching them so we could go together (sorry, Todd!). Although we went with other people, we were together throughout the whole dance. Ed used to do this dance to Journey's 'Separate Ways' every dance...the whole school would make a huge circle around him while he danced, ripped up money and ripped open his shirt. After that I had Amy take our first picture together and I was already so in love with him that my smile was so big that it sealed my eyes shut:
(Love you, Ed! Can't wait to see what our next 13 years together holds!)
We couldn't find any St. Patrick's day activities for the kids so we tried tiring them out at Town Square instead:
The kids were beyond excited when we got tickets to ride the "choo-choot" train:
That night I celebrated St. Patrick's day by getting my grey hairs touched up:
Since 'U' is a vowel, Tenley made a "vowel egg" at school on Friday:
Linds made us the best steak dinner, while the kids ripped apart her house in between bites:
I don't know what happened to Tenley at Saturday's dance class, but she listened to Miss Cherrity so well and followed all the steps. They practiced their ballet routine for their upcoming recital and it is seriously the cutest thing:
The kids have been begging to go see the Easter Bunny. Since everything opened at 11 we spent the morning burning off some energy at the park:
After some time at the park, we headed to The District to see the Easter Bunny. Tenley and Wes were so excited, but Ev just wanted to roam and do her own thing:
When it was time to see the Easter Bunny, Tenley ran right up to him. She made sure to tell him how she really wanted a pink bike with training wheels and a princess helmet. Wes kept yelling "GAGA (Mickey Mouse)!!" because he also wants a bike and a Mickey helmet. Ev, on the other hand, could care less about him and wasn't impressed one bit:
(Wes did NOT want to leave.)
The photographer managed to bribe Ev to sit with a pink bunny:
I hope you all had a great St. Patty's week:
We are so excited for next week since it's Easter AND my in-laws get here Thursday night! Until next week! :)
