Weekly Update

This week is all about Mother's and the letter 'W' at school and Tenley made a watermelon with real seeds; which she thought was super awesome:

After picking T up from school, we ran some errands to buy Mother's Day gifts for Grandma Cath and Grammy. Tenley always asks why I didn't buy a pink car, so when she saw this pink Mustang I knew it instantly became her lifetime goal to own a pink car. She had to take a picture in front of it and I was dying because she was actually checking herself out in the doors behind me and was looking super fierce:

When we got home, Ev crashed on the couch for hours:

After nap-time, the kids got busy on their crafts for Grandma Cath and Grammy:

We took the kids to Rachel's Kitchen downtown for breakfast before heading to The Downtown Container Park for some fun on Tuesday:

The Downtown Container Park had a garden display sponsored by IKEA; which gave me so many ideas for Ed's next project- an herb garden:

While walking to our car, we walked past some pretty awesome street art; which is so fascinating to me. Wes loves this "zommie" someone drew on the side of a hotel and Tenley started directing him through poses as I snapped their picture:

The girls cuddled on the couch Wednesday morning:

When I picked Tenley up from school she was very excited to give me an envelope that she decorated. It had a poem about Mother's on it and was filled with flower seeds for us to plant together. She was very excited about it (and so was I):

Ev was the only one to nap on Wednesday and she sure looked precious while doing it:

The twins really love that Tenley has basketball practice every Wednesday because they love to play at the park while she practices:

Since Ed is taking up the entire garage with his new project we've been parking in the driveway. Every time we take the kids out of the car they run to the door and start shouting "cheese" while being super silly:

We met the Joslins at a splash pad Thursday morning and had so much fun with them:

Grammy and Pop Pop sent Tenley the most beautiful dream catcher. Tenley was so excited and said it caught 5 of her bad dreams that night:
(Thanks, Grammy and Pop Pop!!)

Keeping with the theme of learning about the letter 'W' and Mother's, Tenley loved that Miss Linda brought in REAL worms on Friday. They learned all about worms and she even brought one home for me:

Nothing made Ev happy on Friday and we're at the point where we are just used to her melt-downs. She dressed herself and was wearing brother's new Cavs hat from Grammy and Pop Pop and looked so silly as she carried on and banged the rim of it on everything in her way:

Tenley had a basketball game bright and early Saturday morning and they did so good! I'm so proud of how much they're improving:

Tenley practiced her recital routine after basketball and, oh my gosh, she did so good! Obviously, dance is more her thing:

Grammy sent the kids Disney popsicle molds so I froze their smoothies in it and they loved it:

My mom sent me some things for Mother's Day and this was by far my favorite thing in the package:
(Thanks, mom! It's so perfect!!)

For Mother's Day I just wanted to relax. Ed let me sleep in with Ev until she woke up at 7am; which was the best way to start my day. Then Tenley, Wes and Ed made me an egg, turkey bacon and avocado breakfast wrap and it was delish! After breakfast, I took a peaceful shower sans children. Then, we got ready and headed to the Bellagio to see the flowers; which were so stunning, as usual:

For Mother's Day, Ed has been working non-stop on a farmhouse table for me and it's coming along beautifully:

In addition to being a total craftsman, he is also a phenomenal chef (I kinda hit the jackpot with him, right?). I've been watching what I eat, but for Mother's Day I really wanted ham and pierogies and he totally outdid himself with these pierogies:

The kids ate SO much that we couldn't believe it! My Grammy would've been so proud of these little Polish Babes if she saw how they chowed down on their pierogies:

After dinner the kids pampered me:

We finished the night with a dance party and I taught Tenley some sweet new moves:

It was a great week and such an amazing Mother's Day! I hope all you mommy's out there also had the day you deserved and were surrounded by love!

Until next time! :)
