Weekly Update

Our Memorial Day started with a bang, literally. Ev began banging her head on her door at 3am. Poor gal was on fire and I could tell brother passed on his bug to her. Shortly after Wes noticed sissy was gone and had to join the party:

Luckily Wes was eating again and seemed to be feeling much better, but poor Evie was so shaky and just wanted to cuddle on the couch:

Although Wes was feeling better, he was so cranky! He screamed and cried from 7:45 pm to a little after midnight. He would not stop crying about how badly he was going to miss us. It was gruesome and he tired himself out so much that he passed out on the floor next to his bed:

Ev woke up at 5 am with vomit all over herself. I cleaned her up and cuddled her in my bed until Wes woke up:

Once she woke up she got lots of lovins from the girls of the house:

Once she got that out of her system, she was acting totally fine. The kids helped me whip up some blueberry pancakes and they all chowed down. Since everyone was feeling better we snuck in a photo shoot with Jasmyn before she headed back to Hawaii. Tenley and Wes had so much fun running around downtown. Wes has a major crush on Jasmyn and loved playing peek-a-boo with her. He kept saying, "Ja-min" until she'd look at him, then he'd giggle and run away- it was seriously adorable. Ev wasn't feeling it until we spotted a flower garden at the very end. Flowers are her jam:

Just when I thought the kids were turning a corner, this nasty bug took T down. I spent all of Wednesday trying to calm her down (she's kind of like a man when she's sick- the complaints are endless) and cuddling on the couch:

Wednesday was Tenley's final basketball practice of the Spring season, but instead of passing the ball she passed out on the couch:

As a stay-at-home-mom, being stuck in seclusion from parks, indoor play places and friends kills me! I go stir crazy at home and my patience gets paper thin. Tenley woke up with a slightly lower fever Thursday morning and said she felt much better so I took advantage of that and took the kids outside to play:

That afternoon I witnessed a miracle...Tenley fell asleep during nap time!! Then the twins were like dominos since they weren't worried about missing out on playtime with sissy (they have major fomo):

The kids woke up super early Friday morning (well, Ev got woken up, per usual) because they knew Grammy and Pop Pop were flying to Vegas that night and were really excited about:

We were limited on errands we could run since not many stores were open yet. Running 1 errand and already being up for 3 hours by 8 am lead to melt down city:

Luckily, I got the twins to nap simultaneously while T and I had a tickle fest:

Although Tenley was sporting a massive smile all day she was complaining about how it hurt whenever she swallowed. With how sick they were all week, I called her pediatrician and the nurse told me that some cases of strep pretend to go away; which could be worse because it can attack your heart. My worry wart self had to bring her in to double check. They did a strep test; which came back negative, but they sent it off for a culture just to be sure. The kids were so good during the appointment...because lollipops, duh:

Saturday morning was T's last basketball game of the season. The kids screamed and ran towards Grammy and Pop Pop as soon as they saw them; it was such a sweet moment. Tenley was super excited to play in front of Grammy and Pop Pop and played her best game yet. We are so proud of how far she's come with the sport and were so excited to share this game with family:

After the game she got her medal and trophy for completing the season:

(She was SO proud of her trophy, then little sis was holding it and dropped it into 3 pieces. #momfail)

After basketball, we had breakfast at Tenley's favorite spot- Rachel's Kitchen:

Next up was dance class where Tenley Bear killed it! She had Grammy in tears with her recital routine and we are so proud of how well she is doing:

After our crazy-busy morning, the kids opened up some presents from Grammy and Pop Pop, then the girls put on their new Hello Kitty press on nails from Pat:

Since we were unsure if the kids had strep, we've been staying away from our newest niece to keep her safe from the germs. I couldn't wait to meet her any longer so I snuck away to snuggle that little babe and she is just a sweetheart:

The kids snacked on GiGi's famous zucchini bread and gave it two thumbs up:

Wes couldn't hang anymore and ended up passing out on the couch:

The kids were so excited when Grammy and Pop Pop joined us for dinner:

That night Ed went to a friends and I got help from my in-laws with bath and bed time. It was so nice to hear them giggling and having a blast with their grandparents. The next morning we met my in-laws at the GVR splash pad and of course the kids were ready to go at 7 am. I couldn't get over how old Tenley looked! Her and Ev are going to be heartbreakers when they are older, for sure:

The girls and I whipped up some delicious homemade pizza for game 2 of the Finals:

The Cavs may have lost, but we had a great time with our family. Although this week started out bad, it really ended with a bang!

Until next time! :)
