Everyone wore swim suits to T's swim lessons Monday morning since we were going to the splash pad afterwards. The kids were stoked about our plans and couldn't contain their excitement:
Tenley loves the water so much; she reminds me of myself in that aspect because I could swim all day (and still could). I love watching her swim like a fishy:
We met my friend Kelly and her twin boys at the park after swim and we had so much fun with them. Ev had us cracking up with how she was mackin' on the boys:
The twins played on the swing set while Tenley swam her heart out on Tuesday:
The kids spotted a bunny on the way out and tried getting close enough to touch it. When the bunny ran, they continued to shake the bushes. Wes repeated, "Shake. Bushes." the entire day. These kids sure love bunnies:
The kids were so tired after swim on Wednesday that I managed to get them both down for naps at the same time; which is rare these days:
I started a 'Summer Slim Down Challenge' at Pure Barre on Wednesday. The challenge is to take 40 classes in 60 days. Since I go 6 days a week and knew I could do it, I'm challenging myself to do 40 in 40. I started the challenge with a bang:
Tenley drew her swim teachers pictures and was so excited when she saw them on display Thursday morning:
Tenley continues to wow me with her swimming skills on the daily:
We had a play date with Tenley's pal, Fable, after swim and they were so excited to see each other and had a blast playing dress-up together:
The girls chose not to nap that afternoon and looked so cute as they hung out in T's room during relaxation time:
Wes chose to hang out with me instead of the girls and I had to film him talking because he was being so dang silly (and I could listen to his voice ALL day):
After swim Friday morning, we met the Venturino gals at The District for some splash pad action and lunch. Being outnumbered 6 to 2 was an absolute shit show, but it was worth it to hang out with some of our favorite gals:
Everyone was exhausted after our busy morning and passed out quite easily at nap time:
Nap time was perfect because Jasmyn sent me our latest family pictures and I got to sit down, enjoy my coffee in silence as I looked at all the awesome pics.
Ev made her way into our bed and slept like a queen Saturday morning:
While the princess was sleeping, I snuck off to barre and started the day by breaking my calorie record:
Ed took T to dance while I stayed home with the twins. Once they got home, we headed to the Westin at Lake Las Vegas for Grace's 6th birthday party. We were in the pool for almost 6 hours and had a freakin' blast! The kids went down the water slide over and over again and had us cracking up while watching them go down on their own. Happy birthday Grace! We sure had fun celebrating your big day:
Sunday was Father's Day and Ed kicked off the day by sleeping in, then waking up to gifts and lots of kisses. Tenley insisted on making Daddy a pink glittery tool belt and she surprisingly kept it a secret! Ed loved his new tool belt and T made him put it on instantly:
I told Ed we'd do whatever he wanted for Father's Day. He wanted to watch the Cavs while eating chicken parm, italian sausage, meatballs and pasta so I was prepping for dinner early. Meanwhile the kids convinced Ed that HE wanted to see sharks for Father's Day so we headed to The Shark Reef and the kids had so much fun seeing all the fishies:
(Wes was saying, "come here, sharks!")
The twins napped so good after our outing and I actually had to wake Ev up for dinner:
The kids were pretty much on their own for the night...because game 7, duh! They had dinner, drinks and the iPad to keep them entertained while we sat there biting our nails while watching the game. It was so intense! Ed and I were screaming when the game ended and the kids even got in on the action:
We were in tears and still can't believe the Cavs finally won a championship!! It was pretty much the best Father's Day ever.
Happy Father's Day to all the daddy's out there, but especially to our favorite guy, the guy who does it all with so much love. We love you to the moon and back!
Until next time! :)
