Weekly Update

I can't believe I forgot to share Tenley's basketball pictures that we got back last week. They are so adorable and I still can't believe that Linds and I were the coaches:

(Of course we had to get a group shot of the girls and their awesome coaches, too!)

Monday was the start to Tenley's summer swim lessons. She was the first in the pool and made sure to tell her teachers that she didn't need any help because she's been practicing in her splash pool. Tenley loves to swim; which makes me really enjoy watching her since it's so much fun for her:

Tenley wasn't the only one excited for swim lessons, the twins were stoked to see the "too-tles", as Ev calls them, again and play on the swing set:

Pop Pop had the magic touch on Tuesday. First, he put Wes down for a nap, then Evie fell asleep snuggling with him on the couch:

My in-laws took the kids to swim Wednesday morning so I could go to barre. They were so excited for Grammy and Pop Pop to "babysit" them:

I picked the kids up from swim and Tenley said, "Grammy and Pop Pop took really good care of us, Mommy." It was so cute! The kids love spending alone time with them and I do too because it always ensures a good nap from the twins:

Pop Pop threw a Cavs party at our house and I made everyone steaks, zucchini fries and oven roared potatoes. Our dinner, the company and the game was perfect:

Wes woke up super early and super cranky Thursday morning. His antics woke the whole house up and Ev just wanted to cuddle:

Tenley did great at swim. She continued to be fearless, collected rings and practiced jumping in like a pencil:

After swim, my in-laws took the kids to Target to treat the twins (and Tenley) for doing so well with potty training. Then Grammy and Pop Pop treated them to frozen yogurt:

My in-laws took the kids to swim again and I picked them up. Tenley insisted on listening to Adele and everyone was belting out the tunes together. I was cracking up and smiling ear-to-ear. I'm not used to having any help what so ever during the day so having a break this week really made me appreciate getting to be there for these simple moments:

Tenley had dance pictures Friday afternoon and she looked so beautiful (and grown-up!):

All the girls were stunning and I can't believe this will be Tenley and Isla's second recital together:

Tenley was so excited to go home after so Grammy could see her all dressed up:

We went to see the newest Bellagio Conservatory with my in-laws and it was beautiful, as always! The theme was 'Under the Sea' and the kids loved all the fish (especially the "Mo-Mo" and Dory fishies):

We went to Caesar's and had dinner at Pop Pop's favorite restaurant- The Cheesecake Factory. The kids drank strawberry lemonade and all used the potty like champs! Dinner was delicious and the kids were so good:

After dinner, we parted ways with the kids and my in-laws. It was awesome to finally have a kid-free night out! I don't think the kids minded because Grammy and Pop Pop gave them ice cream as their pre-bedtime snack; which was totally okay by me because when they got home they each pooped on the potty so it was well-deserved:

Ed and I were so excited to spend our date at Top Golf Las Vegas. You may remember that Ed helped build it so I was really excited to check it out. It was so nice and huuuge! We weren't able to get on a top level until 11:30 pm because they were so busy. Our bay was on the bottom floor, but still so much fun. I was surprised I was actually able to hit some targets, but even more surprised with how good Ed was:

I totally lost every game, but had so much fun. After our time was up, Ed showed me around each floor and beamed when he showed me his work- it was the cutest! I may have lost every game, but I sure picked a winner as my best friend:

Since basketball is over, I can go to Pure Barre before T's dance class (yay!). I got my seat kicked so hard and was disgustingly sweaty after:

We said goodbye to my in-laws that afternoon. The kids were heartbroken so we took them to the park to take their minds off of it:

(Wessie saw a plane and started yelling, "bye, Pop Pop!!")

Believe it or not T's new favorite song is 'Rock and Roll All Nite' by Kiss (I mean, it totally makes sense, right?). We went to the M pool Sunday morning and the kids rocked out to some Kiss on the way there:

The pool opened at 9am, but the kids were ready to go before the lifeguards so they goofed off while they waited:

The kids are at the perfect age for the pool now; which made our morning so much fun! Tenley was a pro, Ev surprised us by swimming like a little fish (she literally looked like a puppy, constantly kicking her teeny legs) and Wes clung to us before getting comfortable in the water. Wes kept saying, "never drop me." Once he warmed up to the whole "swimming" thing everyone was floating and kicking on their own. It was really a perfect morning:

Our morning of pretending to be fishies turned into longgg naps. We had such a great week with my in-laws and miss them so much already. Thank God for pool days to keep us occupied and havin' fun!

Until next time! :)
