Ed had Labor Day off so we spent the day playing outside with the kids:
The kids and I played outside again on Tuesday since the weather was gorgeous:
Tenley started Pre-K on Wednesday. She's almost 5, loves to dance, color, swing and play dress-up. One day she hopes to be a real life Princess, but for now she'll settle as being just a preschooler:
This is her 3rd year at her school and to say she's a pro at it is a mild understatement. She missed the cut off for Kinder this year; which I'm happy about because she will be more mature and prepared, but she really looked so big compared to the new kids in her class. She felt so at home walking through those doors and couldn't wait to get started:
Every year her school provides bags for the kids so everyone has the same bag. The theme this year is, "We love the U.S.A." so the kids decorated their bags and folders with patriotic stars:
Since I had the parent/teacher meeting after dropping Tenley off, the twins went to the Medranos and had so much fun playing with Cam and snuggling with Lynds:
(Thanks so much, Lyndsey!!)
I don't allow the kids to drink anything other than water, unless we're out to dinner or at a party, and I was cracking up when I caught Ev red-mouthed from sneaking some of Daddy's Gatorade:
I woke up Thursday morning feeling strong about taking the twins to their very first day of school, but then I walked into the kitchen to make my coffee and saw red roses and a note from Ed. It went something like this, "I thought you might be feeling a little sad today because our babies are starting preschool...", then it set in and the water works began:
(Love you babe!)
My babies are a few months shy of being 3 years old. Ev's favorite things to do are to dance, color and cuddle. Wes loves to swim, color and play outside. Ev has dreams of becoming Barbie, while Wes hopes to be a race car driver someday. Both were thrilled to be big kids and go to Tee-Tee's school:
We were ready so early since they were so excited that we got to hang with the Rice gals before dropping Tenley off. Sailor made sure to give her BFF plenty of good luck kisses:
(Thanks for watching T, Linds!!)
Ev is very social, but still quiet, while Wes can be very shy and clingy. I for sure thought that's how they'd be at school, but Wes walked in and shouted, "HI MISS MARSHA!!!!" I was so shocked that he remembered her name and was so outgoing. Ev quietly went to a seat to play with the puzzles and brother quickly joined her:
Ev spotted a pouch in my bag and was having a little melt down. Thank God we quickly got to the craft because they were so occupied with the stamps and stickers:
It was time for my parent/teacher meeting and the kids lined up to go read with Miss Susan. I couldn't believe how tiny Wes and Ev looked:
I was a nervous wreck while they were gone...wondering if they were holding the class back or peeing their pants. When I picked them up Miss Marsha said they did great and surprised me with the cutest first day of school pics:
I was so behind because of school that I didn't get to make dinner before leaving for barre. Ed made dinner and texted me this pic of the kids chowin' down on their cheeseburgers like big kids:
The girls were so cuddly before we sent Tenley off to school:
On Friday, we went to Vons, Costco, then came home and made lunches and smoothies before picking up T. We got a lot of our usual weekend errands crossed off our to-do list:
I went to Pure Barre's seat intensive Saturday morning and it hurt so good. It was a great way to start my Saturday:
Ed stayed home and put the kids down for naps, while I took T to dance class. This crazy girl ripped her tights for the third week in a row. I swear she is doing something purposely to rip them and see how I respond. Little does she know that I think ripped tights and leos are the cutest combo:
The weather was absolutely gorgeous Saturday night so we spent the evening playing in our pajamas outside:
Pure Barre did a park pop-up class Sunday morning and it was so nice to workout with the morning sun on my face (and with friends, too):
We spent our morning swimming at Fables; which made the kids super lazy so they spent the rest of the day hanging in their undies:
(Wes' crossed legs kill me!)
Until next time! :)
