Weekly Update

I woke up early and gave myself a little pep talk A.K.A. downed lots of coffee while panicking about my busy week:

My niece's birthday was Monday and we are missing her something fierce. We wanted to do something to make her smile so the girls sent her a video to wish her a happy birthday:
(Happy birthday, sweet pea!! We love you so much, Jayla!!)

I woke up on Monday feeling like I was going to kick the day's ass, but the kids were not having it. Ev screamed and cried so badly Monday morning because she wanted to sit in Wes' car seat. I stood firm and made her sit in her seat and had to force her in her seat:

You could literally hear Ev screaming from a mile away. When Miss Marsha came to get Tenley out of the car she said, "just breathe." I literally felt like I was breaking down. I drove to the park across the street and just started to cry. Luckily, I saw someone I knew and took some deep breaths as I told myself to pull it together. When Ev calmed down, I took the kids to play at the park and the fresh air really did us some good:

Tenley had a good day at school. They finished working on the letter 'B' and moved on to letter 'C':

Tenley and I kept busy while Wes and Ev were in school Tuesday morning. We played at the park, ran into Hillary at CVS and went to the Fashion Show Mall where they had all the monuments made out of Legos. It was a really fun morning:

The twins were very excited to show me their caterpillars when we got home:

While T was in school Wednesday morning, the twins and I met the Poes at the park. It rained early in the morning so the kids had a blast getting their butts wet on the slides and running around in the wet grass:
(They're holding hands!!)

Tenley had a blast at school! They are learning all about the letter 'C' and focusing on colors. They are learning how to combine colors to make new colors and had so much fun doing it:
(Tenley especially had fun because she was partners with Jackson- the boy she plans to marry.)

It was pouring Wednesday evening and the kids had so much fun watching in rain (and sticking their head under the patio spout). There's nothing like being a kid and playing in the rain:

I went to Pure Barre Wednesday night, per usual, and Michelle and Cassi surprised me with a "Training Survival Kit". It was the sweetest thing and made me even more excited to go to Denver for training:

(Thanks girls!! I love you!!)

While dropping the kids off at school Thursday morning, Tenley told Wes that she was going shopping for Tsum Tsums while he was gone (we were really going grocery shopping) and he FLIPPED. Nothing gets between that boy and his Tsum Tsum obsession. Miss Marsha had to carry him into class while he cried and reached for me screaming, "MOMMY" Absolutely. Heart. Breaking. Luckily, Miss Marsha texted me a few minutes later to let me know that he was perfectly fine (she must think we're crazy). That lady is seriously a Saint and I knew she'd get him to calm down. The kids ended up having a good day and had fun mixing colors:

I put off packing for Denver so I could take the kids to the park and I'm glad I did because we had such a good morning. The kids enjoyed their candy Buttons while running a muck at the park:

Friday was all about the letter 'C' at school. They made a "candy" necklace with Fruit Loops, decorated cupcakes and made a colorful rainbow:

While Ev napped and Tenley and Wes "relaxed", I prepped dinners for Ed's weekend alone with the kids:

As soon as Ed got off work he came home to take me to the airport. The kids were crying before we even got in the car and begging to come with me. It was so hard to hear their little voices say things like, "don't go, Mommy!", "me come with you?", "I gonna miss you, mommy." Like, seriously broke my heart. I've never been away from them before so it was rough. Luckily, I was so busy traveling and thinking about my training that it really made the time fly. I wasn't worried about them because I knew Ed was more than capable of taking the best care of them. He never takes pictures so I made him promise to keep me posted all weekend with pics. He let me know that everyone calmed down and was chowing down on dinner Friday night:

Ev was in her glory because she knew Daddy wouldn't say no to her so she took full advantage of him and got Oreos for her bedtime snack:

Ev woke Ed up at 3:30am yelling for "MOMMY NOW!" She finally calmed down when T was up and they sent me a "thumbs up" before I headed off to day 1 of my training:

While I was in training, Ed took both girls to dance:

The twins took a nap for him (go figure!):

While I was in day 2 of training, Ed took the kids to Egg Works for breakfast. They had the best time sitting on the patio and watching the planes land:

I have a good flight home and even had Iggy Azalea on my plane; which was totally bizarre! I ran through the airport to get to the kids and Ed and was overwhelmed with emotions when I saw everyone! It felt so good to be home with my loves:

This week may have started a little rocky, but by the end of the week I was jumping for joy near the Rockies:

I feel like this is a week I will never forget. The kid's smiles, the support from everyone, the Pure Barre training experience...I feel refreshed and so adult-like.

Until next time! :)
