Weekly Update

I can't say enough good things about Tenley's school. On Monday, everyone was asked to wear blue to honor one of their students who beat cancer and was returning to school for the first time this year. Thank God Tenley isn't too familiar with cancer, but with my family's past with cancer it's near to my heart. We arrived at school early and the kids and parents all made a massive welcoming line and applauded him as he made his return to school. The joy on his face had me choked up and feeling very grateful. We were honored to be a part of his welcoming committee:

After dropping T off, the twins and I went to the park since the weather was too good to pass up:

While at school, Tenley became a 'Sentence Chef':

On Tuesday, Ev and Wes went to school and started learning about the letter 'H' and made bee hives with honeycombs:

Tenley looked like such a big girl as we worked on homework together:

Wes had an appointment to get his hair cut since it grows like a weed. He absolutely loves getting his hair cut by Trevor, while Ev loves picking out extensions:

After Wes' hair cut, we went to one of my favorite "parks" and although there's no play structure for the kids, the scenery can't be beat! The grass and lake is always full of ducks and my little animal lovers had a blast chasing them all:

Tenley brought home lots of school work and I love looking at it all and seeing how she's developing everyday. My all time favorite are the pictures she draws, though:

Ev and Wes had their school pictures Thursday morning and cleaned up very nicely:

When I dropped Tenley off at school she ran straight to the hula hoops with her girlfriends and forgot to give me a final kiss goodbye:

The twins continued learning about the letter 'H', while Tenley worked on getting smiley faces on her work:

Speaking of smiley faces, Tenley's had her second loose tooth for weeks! Her adult tooth broke through and her baby tooth wasn't wiggly anymore. While I taught a triple, Ed took Tenley to get her second tooth pulled. She wasn't scared at all since she just had her other tooth pulled and was excited to get another visit from the tooth fairy:

My third class of the evening was 'Bring on The Men' (Empower Edition). One of my awesome client's daughter came to watch the kiddos so Ed could be Cassi's partner and take my class. It's always fun teaching men because they don't expect it to be hard so seeing everyone dripping sweat was such a rush! Ed probably won't want to come back again since I was constantly correcting his form, but hey! The next day he texted me and said, "damn you, my legs are so sore." so I'd say it was a successful 'Bring on The Men':

Tenley waited up for me to get home from work to show me her little tooth that she left for the tooth fairy:

Ev and Wes were so excited about the creepy spiders they made at school on Friday and Tenley was proud of her sentence plate:

That evening we went to Tenley's school Harvest Festival. We had so much fun talking to all the teachers, staff, students and parents. The kids loved all the games and ate their weight in junk food. Tenley was in her glory and loves her school:

(Just like her momma...not a fan of Haunted Houses!!)

Saturday is our busiest day of the week...cheer, dance and t-ball:

Halloween is my Aunt Donna's favorite holiday and she sends the kids halloween treats every year. This year she sent these cool stick on faces for their pumpkins. They were super easy to use and the kids had so much fun painting their pumpkins and choosing their faces:

Once our pumpkins were finished, Tenley worked on a link for her "Acts of Kindness" chain at school. After she finished I asked what she drew and she said, "it's my friend and I with our hands over our hearts during the National Anthem because we love our country." I was blown away and so proud:

Until next time! :)
