Everly woke up early Monday morning wanting to help mommy make pancakes for breakfast- she loves to help cook:
After dropping sissy off at school, the twins had dentist appointments. I was shocked that my sweet toothed babe, Ev, had no cavities and Wes had 2:
Wes must've went through a growth spurt recently because his newly purchased pants and shoes were all too small (isn't it the worst when it happens like that?!). For some reason I thought there was a Journey's Kidz at Town Square so I figured we could go play there and shop for shoes, but to my surprise there was no Journey's Kidz! We played, ate pretzels and found some deals on shoes at Old Navy. All and all it was a fun morning:
When Tenley got home we did homework and I loved the picture she drew of her, Ev and Wesley trick-or-treating:
Doing sight words with Tenley's class on Tuesdays is legitimately the highlight of my week. I love seeing how all the kids learn; they're all SO smart! Tenley earned a charm for her sight word necklace and also earned a treat from mommy and daddy. She chose the book 'Pig the Winner' since the twins are having major issues with who is "first". I thought it was super sweet that she wanted to get the book to help solve Ev and Wes' current problem:
Ev and Wes are learning about the letter 'T' this week and made tigers at school, while Tenley continued learning to write words:
Wes had T-ball pictures Tuesday evening and looked so handsome:
Tenley's school gives her a different book to read each week and this week she got, "What Can Hop?" She always comes home with it mastered already; which amazes me. I love watching her read:
Ev and I got our nails done Wednesday morning while Wes enjoyed some iPad time:
Wednesday night was the last night we tucked Tenley into bed as a 5 year old:
We woke Tenley up with birthday donuts for breakfast Thursday morning. I can't believe she is 6 years old! Like, how?! She makes us laugh so much everyday and we love her beyond measure. We are so lucky she is ours! Happy sixth birthday, sweet girl:
Once the kids were all sugared up, I dropped them off at school- YAY! Tenley was so excited to spend her birthday with all of her friends at school:
I arranged for the office to bring her balloons, a stuffed stallion and popsicles for the class- she was in Heaven:
Miss Marsha kept the twins a little bit longer so I could surprise Tenley for lunch (Thank God for Miss Marsha!) and she was so excited! She told me she got 99 'Happy Birthday' wishes so far and by the time I left she was at 107! She was feeling extra loved and one of her friends brought her zebra cakes for lunch; which had her super jazzed. I was happy to see her having such a great day at school:
Ev and Wes continued learning about the letter 'T'...how ironic that they are learning about the Letter 'T' during Tenley's birthday week:
Thursday was also "Pumpkin Discovery Day" at Tenley's school. She got to carry around a small pumpkin all day, then we got to join her at the end of the day to learn everything there is to know about pumpkins:
We wanted to take Tenley to Disneyland for her birthday in hopes that it wouldn't be busy for Nevada Day, but procrastinated and the Halloween Party tickets were sold out. Since I didn't have a party planned, we spoiled her with gifts and planned something that'd still make lasting memories; which is much better than a party in my opinion. She was so excited to come home from school and open her presents:
(I had the cutest video of her opening her gifts, but lost it while my computer was broken. One of her gifts was a Golden Knights shirt and she was so excited! Then we explained that we bought her the shirt because we're taking her to a game and she was super excited!)
That evening we went to Stella's birthday party at the pumpkin patch. Three of the kids were celebrating birthdays and since Amy is so sweet, she had everyone sing to all the birthday kids- Tenley loved it, of course, and had so much fun celebrating at the patch:
(Happy birthday, Stella!!)
Since Friday was Nevada Day, the Golden Knights played the Colorado Avalanche at 3pm; which was the perfect time to introduce the kiddos to our new hockey team! Tenley was so excited to be celebrating her birthday at the T-mobile Arena. The arena is so nice and the people are even nicer! We had such a great time and dare I even say that I enjoyed it more than any other live sport?! We are already looking forward to going again and cheering for our home team:
Our Saturday started with cheer and dance (no T-ball in honor of Nevada Day- SCORE!!). Ev was pretty excited because she got to dress up for class:
Tenley has been wanting a little backpack to "put her stuff in" so we went down to The Strip to treat her...I know, she's spoiled. While at Caesar's we stopped by my favorite store to see Cassi's ambassador pic and had to send Cassi a picture:
Tenley didn't care about not having a party; however her only request was that she wanted cake and to be sung to. We got her a Nothing Bundt Cake and some of her friends came to sing to her last minute, she was absolutely smitten:
Ev was pooped and slept with her new unicorn sleep mask:
Sunday morning we headed to Gilcrease Orchard with Grammy and Pop Pop. We had a perfect morning eating donuts and picking pumpkins:
(While waiting for the Hayride Pop Pop introduced Tenley to Siri and she was asking her all these math problems and couldn't believe she knew the answers- it was hilarious! I especially loved when she stumped Siri with, "what does Minnie Mouse do when she wakes up?" To be 6 again...)
Later that evening Grammy and Pop Pop came over to paint pumpkins:
WHAT A WEEK!!
Happy Birthday, Tenley! Hope your birthday week was as good as I thought it was. Thanks to everyone who sent her love; she truly felt so special! It sure is going to take some time getting used to having a SIX year old. Love you to the moon and back and back, Tenley Bear!
Until next time! :)
