Tenley didn't have school Monday due to Parent Teacher Conferences. Ev had a cold so to say we had a lazy day is a major understatement:
On the flip side, the kids got a package from Grandma Cath; which kept them busy playing with their new toys:
(Thanks, Ma! We love you!)
I went to Tenley's Parent Teacher conference before work Monday afternoon and it went so good. We chatted for a good 20 minutes and her teacher raved about how sweet, smart, motherly, helpful, and eager to learn Tenley is! She told me how she loves when something clicks with Tenley because she could tell in her eyes that she understands it, then she does her best to relay it to the other students and help them understand it. It made me so proud that she loves to learn and wants to share what she learns with others! She is ahead of the curve and making us so proud daily!
Over the weekend, we worked on her November "family project" of disguising a turkey so it doesn't get eaten for Thanksgiving. She wanted it to be disguised as a Pizza Man and we all had fun helping. She was so excited to bring it to school Tuesday morning:
(Ed was very proud of his 3D pizza box.)
Ev still wasn't feeling good so we dropped Tenley off at school and the twins skipped school. They played so nicely together; which is such a nice treat for mommy:
As if the conference didn't have me bragging about Tenley enough, she came home on Tuesday with not one, but TWO certificates!! 1 for being a Bucket Filler and 1 for completing level 2 of Lexia!! She is such a superstar and we're SO proud:
Wes got his T-ball pics back and they're so adorable:
On Wednesday, I caught what Ev had (whomp, whomp, whomp) and unlike my energetic daughter, it knocked me on my feet. I haven't been sick foreverrrrr so I was feeling like the biggest baby. I napped 3 times throughout the day because I could just not stay awake, luckily Wes was feeling well and was happy to entertain me while I was able to keep my eyes open:
Ev was better, so the twins went to school and reviewed:
Ed was off for Veteran's Day, but still had to go work overtime in the evening. I was still feeling crappy so he set me up for the day by making my favorite soup. You must try this recipe, it's so easy and yummy:
Wes woke up sick on Saturday. This cold is nasty and making its rounds. So Wes skipped T-ball, while the girls went to Gymcats:
Sandi gave Tenley a Barnes and Noble gift card for her birthday so we went to Barnes and Noble after cheer so Tenley could shop. She bought her brother and sister a book and bought 'Pig the Elf' for herself. The 'Pig the Pug' books are her favorite! They are so funny and send such a good message:
I still wasn't feeling great and all the running around had me exhausted. I took a long nap and woke up to Ed pulling apple dumplings out of the oven:
Sunday morning, I taught a double, then headed to Grape Street for Baby Aquino's shower. Molly is such a sweet soul and going to be the best Mommy! I can not wait to meet her tiny tucker:
I came home to the sweetest card from Tenley:
Until next time! :)
