Tenley loves coming home from school and immediately working on her homework. Her excitement for school makes me so proud:
Wes' nose was runny Tuesday morning so I kept them home from school. Bonus for them because I had to do some Christmas decor shopping and they lucked out with some Starbucks snowman cake pops:
We made turkey hands and Wes' turkey was so much bigger than Ev's. Tenley also made her own Turkey at school and got a note from a BFF:
I went to take Empower Tuesday evening and was surprised with flowers from Cassi and Mish. Turns out it was a whole year since I taught my first solo class! I was surprised and will be forever grateful to Cassi and Mish for giving me the chance to share my passion for Pure Barre at their studio:
(Thanks ladies! So much love for you both!)
Tenley woke up stuffy Wednesday morning, but was otherwise feeling fine (and sassy, too). She milked it for all it was worth, until it came time to leave for school and she was miraculously cured:
Wes and I had hair appointments on Wednesday AND so did Everly. I know, right?! She insisted she needed a "trim", but when we got there said she thinks we should wait "til my hairs get suuuuupa long!" What baby wants, baby gets. So again, no hair cut for Ev:
That afternoon Tenley got books from her recent Book Fair. She was shocked that she got so many, but little does she know that I actually have about 20 more hiding for Christmas. We're such suckers for books, especially when purchasing them benefits her classroom:
The kids wanted pancakes for breakfast Thursday morning and these two were such big helpers:
Everly and Wesley learned about the letter 'U' at school, made "cherry pie" and cute Thanksgiving banners:
Thursday evening I taught Empower and my class was on fire! There's something about Empower that really lights a fire under your ass and I just love it:
Kinder was having a Thanksgiving celebration Friday afternoon and Tenley was super excited. She dressed herself (even picked a bow the "color of the inside of a ham") and looked as sweet as apple pie:
Everly and Wesley made the cutest turkeys at school and they also made no-bake cheesecake with Miss Suzan:
Wes and I watched The Grinch before getting ready to go to Tenley's Turkey Celebration:
The twins were so excited to see sissy at school and be apart of her school's celebration. They sang songs, ate pumpkin pie and drank apple cider together:
Tenley was chosen as a Stellar Stallion at school and got a smencil; which is apparently like gold to Kindergarteners:
She also came home with Thanksgiving crafts that are my fav so far:
(I will treasure this page forever! Maybe she does love us?!? Also, if you know her friends at school you'd laugh at the pic of her friends because one is super tall and the other super short- it's a perfect depiction!)
The kids have been begging to put up the Christmas tree... I've always been a firm believer of waiting to put the tree up until after Christmas, but since having kids I swear it goes up earlier and earlier each year:
I finished PB's Barre Bestie challenge Saturday morning on day 18; which I'm pretty proud of since I was sick for more than a week of it. If it weren't for Amelia it definitely would've taken me longer:
Wes had his final T-ball game of the season and surprised us all with how well he played. He was so excited to play with his team and even participated while in the outfield! We're so proud of him and how far he's come this season:
We ended up skipping cheer and dance because the team celebrated with the cutest cupcakes at the park after:
Since our tree had a bunch of burnt out lights we spent Saturday removing and relighting the tree. Wild and crazy Saturday, huh? Ev and I matched (Tenley and I wore these PJs just before the twins were born!) and she thought it was so cool:
It's finally fireplace weather; which is my favorite time of year. There's nothing like cuddling by the fireplace:
We had a super low-key Sunday. Since the lights were finally restrung, we slowly started hanging ornaments and decorating the house as we watched football:
Something about the Christmas tree that turns my kids into buttheads! Maybe it's all the excitement, but good Lord they were ruthless throughout the day. Tenley made up for it with another lovely card:
I know it looks like we've forgotten all about Thanksgiving, but don't worry...we are so excited and really looking forward to piggin' out!
Until next time! :)
