Weekly Update

I hardly have pictures from this week because I felt sick all week. Every May, when it warms up, I get dehydrated/heat exhaustion so easily. No matter how much water I drink, it's not enough. I felt faint, nauseous and had a migraine all week, but motherhood doesn't care and life went on. Even though I felt crappy, we still had a great week.

Monday started Teacher Appreciation Week at school. Tenley made sure she had a gift for her teacher everyday from her teacher's favorites list. Monday was dress like an athlete day so, of course, she chose to dress as a Golden Knight:

They got to meet the baby chicks and Tenley got to hold Knight:

While Tenley was at school, the kids and I met Amy and Luke at the splash pad to cool off:

Wes did really good during his private lesson Monday evening:

Tuesday was dress like a book character day at school and Tenley dressed like Minnie Mouse:

Wes had Learn to Skate Tuesday evening and he did great! He loves the coaches for Snowplow Sam #3:

I felt crappy Wednesday and was so jealous of this sleeping beauty:

Everly and Wesley made me a Mother's Day gift at school on Thursday, but insisted I wasn't allowed to open it until Sunday:

Ev woke up with the greatest bed head Friday morning:

After preschool Friday, the twins had an end of school pool party at their pal Parker's. Patty is the best host and we swam for hours:

Tenley learned a lot about plants this week and talked my ear off about plants after school (hopefully she's able to keep them alive, unlike me!):

Ev randomly threw up Friday evening... I'm guessing she had too much junk food or swallowed too much water at the pool party? She said her belly was still hurting Saturday morning so she stayed home from dance, while I took Tenley to cheer:

I came home to tulips from the kids and they were so pretty:

We spent the rest of the day relaxing and watching the Knights game:

Tenley showed us a new move she learned called "the cutter":

Tenley has been preparing for Mother's Day for a few days and hiding notes from me. She made me a canvas with her thumbprints as the hearts and made me the cutest pictures. The Peer Barr one had me cracking up:

The twins made me lemon body scrub at school, but mostly I loved how they traced 'I love Mom':

Like last year, we spent Mother's Day doing what the kids love most-- swimming at The M! I don't make a big deal about Mother's Day as I just hope to not have to raise my voice on "my day". Since the kids are happy swimming, that is what we do so everyone has a good day. The kids couldn't be happier and I was all smiles since they were happy:

My "real" Mother's Day gift was tickets to Round 3 - Game 3 of the Vegas Golden Knights vs. Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday!! My mother's Day was low key, but amazing. I'm so lucky these kids chose me as their mommy.

I hope you all had the best Mother's Day!! :)
