Tenley got her first school yearbook and she was so excited to look through it and spot all of her friends and teachers:
Tuesday was 'S' day for shades since their future is so bright:
Tuesday was Tenley's Kindergarten End of Year Celebration. She's been practicing her songs non-stop and was so excited to be a 'wide-mouth frog':
Her smile radiated across the room and she was in her element on stage:
Ev was so excited to see her sissy on stage! She kept shouting, "Hi, Kiki!!":
The kids sang a song about heading off to First Grade, followed by a slideshow of pictures throughout the year. I was the cutest and I was a mess:
I couldn't stop crying as I listened to Mrs. McCall talk about how proud of her class she was and how much she'd miss them next year. These kids have grown and learned so much and their teacher is absolutely to thank. She is a Saint to do her job so well, with such a big smile on her face everyday. Tenley couldn't have been more proud to receive her Certificate of Completion from Mrs. McCall:
Tenley brought home a picture of us camping and a hand with words that her friends wrote to describe her:
After her program, we treated her to a fancy dinner of her choice... Panera, of course:
After dinner, we headed to Wes' Learn to Skate class:
Wes' private lesson with Mr. Nickel got switched to Wednesday afternoon. The Golden Knights were practicing that morning so we packed lunches and headed to CNA for a fun morning. Wes was so excited to see the players up close and really wanted to meet Fleury:
Unfortunately, Fleury headed straight back to the locker room, but Oscar Lindberg and Brad Hunt stayed behind to sign autographs for the kids. Wes was all talk, then got so shy when we got close. He did muster up enough courage to tell them, "good luck tonight!" and Brad Hunt's face melted. These guys couldn't have been nicer and sure did make Wesley's day:
We had lunch and sent daddy's pics of our new signatures:
After lunch, we laced up and got our skate on before Wes' lesson:
I usually work during Wes' private lessons, but since it switched this week I finally got to see him and Mr. Nickel in action! The older ladies on the ice are so funny because they all have crushes on Mr. Nickel and love watching him coach Wes. The ladies are all professionals so they teach Ev while I watch Wes... it's perfect. We had so much fun skating and spying on Wes' lesson:
My friends have 4 season tickets and unfortunately their kids couldn't go to the game because they had hockey practice so they offered them to us to buy. Tickets in the lower bowl and we get to sit with Christy and Rae...that was a no brainer! We got there early and watched the guys warm up:
The guys are such great sports and are constantly flicking pucks over the ice for fans. Erik Haula was flicking them over non-stop and this little boy got one, then I nudged Ed and said, "get down there and get one for Wes!" Haula flicked another over the glass and it went under the bleachers. Of course, Ed got down on his stomach and searched for that sucker and wasn't coming up empty handed:
Mark Davis was waiting around the glass, too, because, ya know, he actually had glass seats. We see him every time we sit in the lower bowl and he is just the friendliest guy! I thought he was a co-worker of Ed's the first time we met him, until Ed told me I was an idiot because he is the owner of the Raiders! Ed's dad loves football so we got a pic with him this time:
Mr. Davis didn't have enough seats for all of us on the glass, but no worries because sitting with these beauties was so fun:
(Thanks again, Christy!!)
The Knights defeated The Jets and they were being sore losers; which made for an eventful ending:
We were so excited to leave with a victory and Wes was so excited about the goodies we brought home for his collection:
He was so excited about his playoff puck and had to test it out right away:
Thursday was Everly and Wesley's 'Alphabet Soup' End of Year Program. They sang a song for each letter of the alphabet and it was adorable:
First, they got their waves and "Hi, Mom and Dad!" out of their systems":
Then, it was on with the alphabet:
My favorite song was 'Tooty-Tah". The kids loved it and I loved the little dance that they did:
I loved how Wes randomly started making superhero masks with his hands:
They needed someone to be 'Yon Yonkers' and Wes quickly volunteered; which made me so proud to see him be so brave because he is such a shy boy:
Everly and Wesley were so excited to get their certificates from Miss Suzan:
Last year, these two were scared to death on stage and mostly picked their noses the entire time, but this year they were so brave and actually participated! We couldn't believe it. They've grown so much this year and were so proud of them for completing another year of preschool:
Tenley brought home her self portrait from the first day of school and from this recent month. It's amazing how far she's come:
After school on Friday, the twins and I cooled off at the Poes:
Tenley was looking super adorable at pick-up with a bear hat on and brought home her final Lexia certificate:
Tenley brought home stories throughout the year and they were so cute! Now on our summer bucket list is fishing, baking cookies and donuts at the beach:
Tenley's class made a book and each kid illustrated a page. It was adorable:
My Aunt and Uncle are going road tripping, but stopped in Vegas to spend some time with us before heading to Zion. Aunt Julie came to Gymcats to watch the girls practice:
After cheer and dance we went Flower Girl dress shopping with the Mother of The Bride. We found a dress that Sara already had as an option. Tenley was obsessed with it and Ev was happy in whatever so it couldn't have went any smoother. We had so much fun dress shopping with Aunt Julie:
After dress shopping, the kids crafted with Aunt Julie before they hit the road:
We had a Pure Barre girls night and had so much fun laughing together. So much fun that we actually didn't realize that Tommy Bahama closed at 10 and we were the only ones left at 11pm:
On Sunday, the Golden Knights beat the Jets, winning the Western Conference. Here we come Stanley Cup:
Until next week! :)
