Grandma and Grandpa D came to visit and little T was excited:
T showed them how she plays tug-of-war with Pearl and even learned how to growl in the process:
We played outside:
T-bird learned how to make the 'click' noise for Grandma and Grandpa and continued to practice growling:
Grammy and Gramps insisted on taking T to Toys R Us for a little shopping spree and there's no denying that this chick is my daughter... just look at her shopping:
T and Grammy loaded up the cart with goodies:
When we got home she played with all of her new toys:
Since one of her new toys was an awesome wagon, the whole next day was full of wagon rides courtesy of Grammy and Gramps doing the pulling:
Tenley absolutely loved this thing!!
Grammy was thrilled to get to feed Tenley bear some pears for lunch:
Later that afternoon we tested out another totally rad gift from Grammy and Gramps - Tenley's new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Patio Furniture:
(How ridiculously cute is that?!?!)
Then we went to the best park in town - Reunion Park - for some fun!
Ed and I snuck away to be kids for a bit:
Then Ed dipped T's piggies in the splash pad:
(LOVE THIS!! Silly Ed didn't test the water and it was ice cold!! Poor T... Hahaha!!)
We had the fam over for dinner...
and Tenley did lots of entertaining:
T splashed around in her baby pool with her grandparents:
Gosh... I don't even know how to express how nice and fun this week was!! I was able to go to the gym 3 times and didn't have to worry about bringing Tenley to child care. Eddie and I were able to act like adults and go to dinner with our friends AND have drinks!! We had our very first night that we didn't have to give Tenley a bath and put her to sleep. (Like, holy smokes was that nice!!) Although she decided that she was no longer going to take a bottle, my mother-in-law still put her to sleep and I wasn't even worried while being out for the night. I can't even explain how good those sangrias and beers with my hubby and best friends tasted - the best EVER! It was just so nice to have help and even to be able shower when I wanted to. Having a baby when your entire family lives so far is very challenging so when they are in town you never want to see them leave. I'm going to miss them so much!! When they come back in July, they will be here for the birth of our newest family member - Caprie. Maybe this will make them move here. I don't know, just maybe. I can dream, right?! ;)
Miss you guys already!! <3
