Weekly Update

We had a play date with the Robbins crew:

T chowed down on scrambled eggs:

She became obsessed with brushing her teeth like a big girl:

When it was time to stop she made me chase her... Every time I got close to her she sped up:

Later that night we made apple AND pumpkin pies:

(So sad that these delicious pies went to waste...)

While I finished up in the kitchen, Ed gave Tenley her bath:
(After this bath T became scared of the tub again... so weird!)

While she was getting dried off I couldn't help but reminisce of when my lil' Tenley Bear was a teeny baby:

The picture on the left is from February 16th. Her face is so tiny and she was so still. Now my lil' girl is just all over the place and SO full of personality!

That night my poor sweet angel woke up in the middle of the night vomiting. When Ed was getting ready for work she woke up a second time to throw up. Since she hadn't nursed since the night before I thought the milk would make her feel better, but she just barfed all over both of us, her rocking chair and the floor in her room. Since I was covered in vomit, I laid Tenley in her crib so I could clean myself up, start doing laundry and sanitize binkies rather than get rest at 4am (I'm such germaphobe). Once everything was as clean as it could be without waking T up, I laid on the floor next to her crib in anticipation of her next vomit- there was about 6-8 in a 3 hour time frame. Lucky Ed missed almost all of the excitement. After T was actually up, our morning consisted of nothing but cuddles on the couch while watching 'Secret of The Wings' and 'Sofia The First':

She also hung out in the carrier while I cleaned her room and did 932875 loads of clothes on sanitize mode:

(Can you tell I didn't get any sleep? YUCK!)

Baby girl got lots of rest (and outfit changes):

She was able to keep down water:

We thought her wanting to play was a sure sign that she would be A-okay for Thanksgiving:

We were wrong because she got worse on Thanksgiving day and we spent the afternoon in the ER.

Ed and I both got sick on Thanksgiving night so I spent my Friday with Tenley snuggled in my arms with my other babies asleep around me:

Everyone seemed better on Saturday so we broke out our Christmas decorations:

Tenley was sooo excited to see the big tree:

Our amazing friend, Karina, brought us turkey, stuffing, mashed sweet potatoes and cranberries. Tenley peeked out the window to 'thank' her:
(Thanks, Karina!! I don't know what we would've done without you this week!!)

Right after Karina left I was carrying Tenley into our room because I was folding clothes and she threw up all over us (again). (Side note: every time she puked Ed just so happened to be at work, Lowe's, or outside messing with the lights. Meanwhile my face, hair and chest was always her #1 target.) Just when we thought she was getting better, too. I think it was a fluke though because it was straight bananas. I think we over did it too soon because she was back to running around right after.

On Sunday, she helped me decorate the big tree:

She goofed off with Santa Pooh...

...and her Steelers' friends:

She also helped me unpack her Christmas tree:

She fell asleep on Daddy while I finished up the trees:
(Every family needs an Ergo- it is seriously thee best baby carrier... so comfy for baby AND parent!)

I went lite on ornaments on T's tree... I put her Pooh & Piglet ornaments from last year, her Gnomeo & Juliet ornament from last year, her new Mickey & Minnie ornaments from Grammy and Gramps and put some candy canes to match our big tree. I knew it was going to be risky with her sticky fingers. Sure enough the ornaments were like magnets for her little fingers! She kept taking them off and then playing with the metal hooks. So here is a before and after of her tree:

Even our big tree had to be modified this year due to those sticky fingers I mentioned. I didn't even get to use all of our ornaments since the whole bottom of the tree couldn't be decorated:

We hung our stockings from the wall so Tenley didn't pull them down off the fireplace and destroy Gigi's masterpieces:
(My stocking is the plain one in the middle...)

Next year Tenley will be 2 years old so I think decorating the inside of the house will be a little bit easier and she won't keep trying to undo everything I do. She really thinks she is being a big helper! Bless her sweet heart.

We also decorated the outside of our house for the first time and we're pretty proud of how it turned out...

...and Tenley was so fascinated by the lights that she made us keep the blinds open ALL night!

Until next time! :)
