The Big 6-0!!

My in-laws usually come visit us the first week in February for the Super Bowl, but this year my father-in-law was turning the big 6-0 on February 24th so they pushed their trip back so we could celebrate the special occasion together! Tenley was beyond excited to celebrate her Gramps 60th birthday with him. She wanted to surprise him with a special gift that he would always remember so we scribbled on her chalkboard and she let me take a picture to frame for Grandpa...

...she even played peek-a-boo for the camera:

My in-laws arrived in Vegas the day before my father-in-law's birthday and they stayed the night at our house. Tenley barged in their room to wake Gramps up for his birthday. She was so excited to give him her gift and Grandpa obviously loved it. 

We wanted to take them somewhere that they've never been for breakfast so we took them to one of our favorite spots- The Coffee Cup. Silly us forgot to call ahead so we waited over an hour to sit down and eat, but Tenley didn't mind because she had fun hanging out with her grandparents...

...then she started to get sleepy so she wanted to cuddle with Mommy:

...she quickly perked up when we sat down and was very serious about ordering her breakfast:

Later that day, we got ready to go to my brother-in-law's house to hang out with the fam before he headed off to work...

 We headed back to our place and surprised Gramps with this yummy cake:

Since my in-laws live in Ohio, we don't get to celebrate every birthday with them so this birthday was extra special for us all. Hopefully we will have many more birthday celebrations together as a family in the future.
