Weekly Update

I really love when my in-laws stay at our house when they're in town. There's nothing like waking up to the sound of Tenley giggling because Grandma is there and ready to play. She just loves waking up to them:

T had a blast blowing bubbles, going for wagon rides with Pearl and swinging with Grammy and Pop-Pop:

We went to the Shark Reef where Tenley loved trying to touch the fishies, pet the sting rays and scream at the sharks:

(Whenever we asked Tenley to make her "shark-face" this is what she would do...hilarious!)

(She had to leave her mark on the big shark tank- a princess band-aid for their boo-boos.)

Tenley was a goofball while playing outside with her grandparents:

She showed off her new Princess Sofia jewels:

When Tenley woke up from her nap she instantly looked for her grandparents. When she realized they weren't there, she posted out on their air mattress until they came back:

Since my in-laws had plans Wednesday morning, we met the Rice girls at Run Plus Fun; which made for a good nap (for both of us):

Tenley read to me while waiting for her grandparents to come over:

When we found out we were having twins, I instantly started to worry about how we would all fit into our house. We decided to move Tenley's room since two cribs will fit much better in her current room. I started looking on Pinterest months ago and fell in love with this room:

Although I knew where the bedding was from and what we would need to buy, we totally procrastinated since money has been tight due to the twins excessive doctor bills. My awesome in-laws decided to kick-start the rooms by absolutely spoiling all the babies. They ordered the twins their cribs and took us to Pottery Barn Kids to buy T's bedding:
(We got a pretty 'Tropical Mist' paint that matches the blanket and are slowly working on painting the room...I'll post a blog when we're finished with the entire room.)

Tenley loves sheets, but since she is in a toddler bed they don't offer sheets for it. So my mother-in-law got creative and bought the matching sheets for a twin bed and is giving them to GiGi to turn into toddler bed sheets. Tenley is going to love it! While at Pottery Barn Kids, my mother-in-law went a little nuts and bought the babies thee cutest bath towels (and much more):

After our little shopping spree, we went to check out Tivoli Village and we all loved their park- I think it may be Tenley's favorite (too bad it's SO far):

A few weeks ago, my mother-in-law sent T an adorable shirt that said "Grandma's Love Bug" so, of course, she had to wear it for Grammy:

I haven't had my nails done for months so I decided to treat myself to a "ME" day while my in-laws were here. We swapped cars and I truly didn't know what to do before my nail appointment so I just took a peaceful shower and relaxed on the couch. Tenley had a blast playing with her cousin and napping with Grammy, while I enjoyed getting my hands and feet rubbed:

(Fav nails by far!)

Later that day we went to dinner at Lucille's and T chowed down on their biscuits:

We did some more shopping at The District and got some adorable outfits:

We swapped cars with my in-laws so they could take Tenley home to give her a bath and put her to bed, while Ed and I had a much needed date night. We went to see 'The Heat' and laughed our asses off. I literally peed my pants! Seriously, go see it. It was so good and we loved spending time with each other:

Tenley kept bringing Grammy in her room, then telling her to "GO!" cause she was "sleeping":

Ed's Uncle Denny flew in from Florida so we all went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Tenley was being super shy and cranky, but we managed to get a picture of her smiling with her great Uncle Den:

My in-laws left Saturday afternoon (whomp, whomp, whomp) and I can't even explain how bummed we all were. I just love waking up and knowing that Tenley is going to get to see them. Tenley just loves them...we all do. I know if they lived here we could always count on them to give us a break. I honestly think they would force us to go out so they could babysit; which I would totally be okay with. I trust them with Tenley 110% and know that she is always in good hands with them. I really think they enjoyed taking Tenley for a whole morning just as much (if not more) as I enjoyed the free time. My in-laws spoil us all the way from Ohio, but they really went above and beyond with the spoiling during this visit. We appreciate them more than words and are so excited for the twins to meet them. We love and miss you horribly already. See you soon!

We had a pretty low-key Saturday because we were trying to wind Tenley down from the very busy week she had. When she woke up on Sunday she was stuffy and coughing. We didn't think it was too bad so we attempted to shop at Costco, but Tenley wasn't having it and kept falling asleep:

Poor baby seemed pretty sick so when we found her coloring on the wall we kinda just said, "oh well, she's sick!":

I'll keep you posted on Tenley Bear...
