Tenley finally kicked her colds butt! She was back to playing and sleeping without sounding like Darth Vader:
Later that day, we went and bought our friends pumpkin antibacterial soap and made them pumpkin chocolate chip cookies to say 'thank you' for taking care of us when we were sick and full of germs:
(Chels- yours is in the mail, but I couldn't mail you cookies since it's still hot...I will be sending you cookies when the weather cools off!)
If your interested in some bomb pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, here is the recipe:
Tenley was a BIG fan of the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies:
She was a total goofball at bath time:
We had a play date with the Rice girls:
We had a FaceTime date with Chelsea and Elle. Elle loved seeing "Purr" and we loved seeing her smile:
While at Costco, Tenley made it very clear that we had to buy this when we do our Christmas decorating:
I got the sweetest gifts in the mail from Chelsea: pictures from our Newport trip, the cutest Gap maternity pants and an adorable big sister book for Tenley:
(Thanks, Chels! Totally made my day!)
Tenley had fun taking rides in her empty diaper box:
We had a play date with the Venturino girls and Tenley laid on the couch with Alena:
My mom sent me this picture of my Grandpa Julius, Grandma Rachel and myself and it brought back so many good memories:
While cleaning out the spare bedroom closet I came across some adorable pictures of Ed as a baby. I can't wait to give Tenley the picture of her Daddy playing on his her blankie. I can definitely see a lot of Tenley in these pics:
The Venturino girls came over and we played outside in the rain all afternoon:
Francesca came over Friday morning and brought me the most delicious chocolate covered gummy bears! We talked for hours; which apparently bored Tenley because she fell asleep in my arms while we continued to talk up a storm:
(Thanks for the gummies, boo!)
Tenley helped Daddy with the wainscoting in her new room:
Poor Pearl got smothered by Tenley during nap time:
I hit the 18 week mark in my pregnancy and the twins have me feeling hugeeee:
The Rices came over for dinner and I made GiGi's famous chocolate chip cookies for desert (no wonder I'm feeling huge- I only eat cookies!):
Since it was b-e-a-utiful out, we spent the night playing in the backyard and had a blast with the Rices:
Tenley and I watched cartoons in bed while Daddy slept through everything:
T ate GiGi's chocolate chip cookies for breakfast:
Tenley and I dropped off a bunch of stuff at Goodwill, then had a fun mommy/daughter day at Acacia Park while Daddy worked on T's big girl room:
We were pooped from the park and Ed found us napping like this:
We went to Pottery Barn Kids to buy the finishing touches for T's room. Tenley had a blast playing with all their awesome toys:
We went to Panera for dinner after shopping. As soon as we walked in a little girl came up to Tenley and their conversation went a little like this...
Girl: What's that you're holding? A pink teddy bear?
Tenley: YEAHHHHH!!!!
Girl: What's her name?
Tenley: YEAHHHHH!!!!
Girl: (covering her ears) Can you please tell her to not talk so loud? She's hurting my ears!
We were cracking up! Turns out the little girl had a twin brother and Tenley loved playing with them while we discussed twins with their parents.
After dinner, it was pouring like I've never seen in Vegas (Summerlin always has better storms than we do in Henderson). The streets and freeways were flooded, but we still made it home safely. Soaked, but safely:
Tenley enjoyed kisses from Daddy before bed time:
Until next week! :)
