I'm No Eggspert, But...

Living across the country from our family means that we don't get to spend many holidays with them, especially now that we've added two more kids into the mix. When I realized that my in-laws would be here for Easter this year we were all so excited to spend the holiday with them and even more excited since it was the twin's first Easter!

Tenley is beyond obsessed with the Easter Bunny and we've been telling her all week how he would hide an Easter basket for her Sunday morning if she were a good girl. Sure enough, the first thing she asked for when she woke up on Sunday morning was the "Eh Bunn" and went searching for her basket. Luckily, he thought she was a good girl and hid an awesome basket for her under the kitchen table:

After ripping through her Easter basket and getting all hopped up on chocolate, Grammy and Pop-Pop picked up Tenley and took her to Mass at St. Thomas More since today is actually about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Of course, Tenley was an angel for Grammy and Pop-Pop (always trying to make us look bad). She went down to communion with Pop-Pop, got blessed and loved to sing the songs with everyone...we've got ourselves a little church goer:

While Tenley, Grammy and Pop-Pop were at Mass we opened the twin's Easter baskets (because you know they were good this year):

The kids got the book, "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown" from Grandma Cathy that had Easter pictures of my cousins and I in the back; which had me laughing due to all of our whacky outfits and hairstyles:

When Tenley got back from Mass, we took pictures of everyone in their Sundays best:

Per tradition, we headed to Acacia Park for some fun. It was a beautiful day to enjoy being outside and even more perfect for the ice cream treats that Pop-Pop treated us to:

When we got home, it was finally time for Tenley to dye Easter eggs and boy, oh boy, did she have fun doing so:

Easter was a very busy day for us; which meant it ended with a lot of cuddles:

Thanks to the Easter Bunny for being so generous to our kiddies and to everyone who sent gifts to make their Easter so special- we truly appreciate it!

I'm no eggspert, but I'd say Easter was absolutely perfect this year!

Happy Easter, Everyone!
